Many Worlds Within Worlds
Science and other disciplines talk of the "world" of insects, the "world" of plants, the "world" of animals and others. This is referring to all the plants, animals, insects and other living things of a particular type that grow throughout the entire planet. In each case it is talking about a particular type of living form such as plants and excluding the others.
There is the "world" of humans that refer to all humans that live on the planet earth. In a scripture such as:
Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
In this case "the whole world" is referring only to the world of humans and excluding the planet earth and all other life forms. The bible speaks only to humans as we alone have the capacity to be able to understand these things.
James talks about "a world of iniquity".
Jam 3:6

In scripture the words "world", "whole world", "earth" "whole earth" and "all the earth under heaven" appear a number of times. The translators used a number of English words for the Hebrew words "'erets" and "adamah" and the Greek words
In this article I want to look at the word "world" and "whole world" at some of the places where they occur and see if these English words "world" and "whole world" mean the "planet earth", a piece of real estate or is pointing to the meaning that would indicate the "world" of people.
