The Cocker
Spaniel Club of Queensland meets Bi-monthly on the First Wednesday of the
Month (January, March, May, July, September, November).
Our Annual
General Meeting (AGM) is held after the Bi-monthly meeting in November each
year. The AGM is where our committee is nominated for the next year, and
many important decisions that will affect the club are made at the AGM.
The meetings
are held at the Canine Control Council Dog Showgrounds, King Avenue, Durack
and the meeting commences at 8.00pm with the exception of the
November meeting which commences at 7.30pm. All members and guests are
welcome to attend.
Apologies must
be telephoned through to the President,
Mr Geoff Kill
(07) 3814 3613, by 12pm on the day of the meeting to allow
sufficient time for Committee members to be contacted if the need arises for
the meeting to be cancelled.
At our
meetings we discuss upcoming events such as our Open and Championship Shows
and Cocker of the Year. All incoming correspondence is addressed and
decisions and opinions are sought from all in attendance.
It is
imperative that we gain the support of at least ten financial members to
attend each meeting. Without this minimum number, the meeting cannot be
held, and all items must be carried over to the next meeting.
A club is only
as strong as it's members, and we look to everyone to lend us their support.
Please come along to one of meetings and help us build a better Club for all.
