| This time... tomorrow I want to have done 20 laps at the track gone to the college and applied for my diploma taken more resumes around next week I want to have gotten a call about a job talked to Lisa a number of times doubled the amount I have written for my novel called my friend's mom to say I will be at the wedding next month I want to have begun the first rewrite of my novel started a full time job sent Lisa a few things talked to Lisa many more times started doing 30 laps at the track each day be out to more people next year I want to have held Lisa in my arms for many months completed my novel and sent out queries started on another writing project moved into a bigger place with Lisa and Jazz be completely out to everyone introduced Lisa as my girlfriend to friends and family in five years I want to have been happily married to Lisa for a couple years lived in Australia and Canada raising our family my novel published and a screenplay purchased started to build a name for myself as a writer begun the designing of our house gone skydiving, bungee jumping or something similar saved a good amount of money for our future in ten years I want to have celebrated our seventh or eighth anniversary gone to many parent/teacher nights for our kids sold a number of screenplays and watched them in theatre taken Lisa and kids plus my mom to Africa on a safari completed the construction of our house gone to my ten year reunion with Lisa in twenty years I want to have celebrated our seventeenth or eighteenth anniversary seen our kids off to college sold dozens of screenplays and published many novels gone to Scotland with family in fifty years I want to have celebrated our 57th or 58th anniversary gone to my kids weddings watched my grandchildren grow and laugh sold so many screenplays and novels our grandchildren will be financially set travelled all around the world with Lisa in one hundred years I want to have lived my life to the fullest had no regrets when my time came loved Lisa for my entire life and taken that love with me to last for eternity within my soul be resting peacefully and watching over the people I love who still happily live on earth be remembered for the love I gave and the hearts I touched be remembered for how my writing affected lives and helped to change how people see homosexuality |
