Cleveland Chapter of the Piano Technicians Guild


  Meeting is May 9th     2005   7:30pm.

Pre meeting dining at Dino's - the Italian place (east of Mattlin-Hyde)
Starts at 6pm.  ( Dino's is known for taking a while to get the food out.)


May Technical- Could be called an aural wine-tasting experience . Ben Mcklveen (of the Cincinnati chapter) and Ben Wiant (of our Columbus Chapter) teaming up for a session on quality listening. The purpose is to examine the qualities of good piano tone and illustrate that there is no one perfect sound for the piano.  For this class, we will play short excerpts of music from a number of different concert grands, all played by top tier pianists.   Discussion will follow.
