Hello, thank you for your interest in the PTG. I am the current information/publication person for the Cleveland chapter. I have several items for you to look through to get to know us better. Meeting information
(In general, subject to change)
Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month (except July, no meeting). Locations tend to alternate between (eastside meeting) Mattlin-Hyde Piano Co. 5109 Mayfield Rd. Lyndhurst, OH.
and a west side location. (we are looking for a new place.)
Before a meeting,
some of our members get together to dine and visit. The restaurant and time are selected at the previous month's meeting and is noted in the newsletter.
At 8:00pm, the technical presentation is given, followed by the Chapter business meeting.
Guests are permitted to attend 3 meetings at no charge. A $15.00 Fee is required after the 3rd meeting for non-members. There is a guest
registration book and guest are asked to sign in.
Membership
In order to join the Cleveland Chapter of the PTG, you will need to fill out a membership application.
The PTG currently has several levels of membership. Entry level is called Associate and is achieved by the following. Fill out an application, (it is available from any board
member) and return with a $30 application fee. No testing required.
The next level is Registered Piano Technician (RPT). It is achieved through the Associate level by passing a written, technical, and tuning exam. Written and technical exams are given
locally. The Tuning exam is available at most conventions. (We are working on making this available locally as well.)
Dues for all levels of membership are $1 Our local chapter membership is currently at 46 members from a radius that includes Canton, Kent, Mansfield, Youngtown, Lorain, Oberlin, and Cleveland.
Chapter publications
You will be added to the Chapter newsletter mailing list for 3 Months so be sure to include your address in the guest registration. List your e-mail address as well.
Our newsletter
is mailed once a month, the week before a meeting. The Email newsletter is sent twice a month, before and after each meeting.
