Mixed Salad
As soon as we were settled in our room, we took a funicular up to Allmendhubel to start our hike on North Trail with Rolinka.  We hiked with the view of Eiger, Mnch and Jungfrau.  Cows were coming down to lower pasture, and the idyllic concert of cowbells entertained our ears.  During the hike we broke up in groups, and our group arrived at Gimmelwald by late afternoon.  To our disappointment, the legendary Walter was nowhere to be seen.  We heard that his nap had become more frequent.  We missed his hot chocolate, too, but that night we were treated to a scrumptious dinner at the Hotel Jungfrau.  We had the best salad bar there.  Their marinated white carrots were very tasty.  The after-dinner entertainment was the performance with an accordion and the Alpenhorn.  Several members surprised us with their talent to play a tune with Alpenhorn.  I didnt try, because only an embarrassing sound would have come out.
Day 8
Our bus drove us to the Lauterbrunnen Valley in the morning.  The bus let us off at Interlaken and proceeded to take a sick member to a hospital.  Before noon we arrived at the cliff-top village of Mrren in the Berner Oberland.  The stunning views of Swiss Alps welcomed me at my balcony.  This was why I had signed up for this tour.  How fortunate we were to have such nice weather!  My ankle was getting better everyday.
