The 1969 Yenko Camaro
In 1969, after the COPO Camaros were being released, Don Yenko, a high-performance dealer, began creating his "Yenko" Camaros. These Camaros were powered by the awesome big-block 427 engine putting out 425 horses. They also had a flashy set of decals throughout the car. The body length stripe with the word "YENKO/SC" showed the world that you were driving one of the most powerful Camaros around. Also, the seats in the car also had the symbol "SYC". In case you were wondering what the "S" and the "C" mean, the "S" stands for super and the "C" stand for car. Put it all together and you get "YENKO Super Car", which, of course, was exactly what it was; a "Super Car". If you are lucky enough to own one, or if you get a chance to own one, your are a very lucky person!!!
