2004 SAMMAMISH ART CLASSES
Location: Sammamish Chinese Academy, 22818 SE 8th St., Sammamish, WA 98074
Eligibility: Any person ages 5 and over who are interested in learning paintings is invited to apply
Dates: Each Wednesday or Saturday starting January 7 - May 19 (18 sessions)
Times: Class held at 1:50 pm - 2:50 pm on Wednesday or 12:00 am -1:00 pm on Saturday
Instructor: Yanshu Hsu
- Instructor and co-owner of Yanshu Art Institute
- B.A. in Fine Art, Lu Xiun Fine Art College
- Over 20 years of experience in teaching fine art
- Have won many awards in China
- Lecturer of Furniture Art Institute
- Interior Designer of the Northeast Architect College of China.
- The first place winner of professional group at Mason County Festival
- The president award winner of the 17th International Exhibition sponsored by the Northwest Pastel Society at The Art Institute of Seattle. Recently conducted an illustration class in portrait for the Northwest Pastel Society
- Selected to exhibit art work at Roby King Gallery by Northwest Pastel Society
- Awarded Honorable Mention at 28th Annual Exhibition of Eastside Association of Fine Arts
Purposes:
- Cultivate student's interests in art
- Improve student's ability in form and structure
- Emphasize basic technical training in sketching then gradually introducing students to relate form, light, space, and color into the perspective
- Learn how to apply drawing technique to nurture the artistic attribute, to raise the ability in appreciating the beauty
- Train students to draw and display independently for still life, landscape,
and portrait
Materials and Tools: Sketch paper (11" by 16" min.), Pencils: H, HB, B, B1-B6, Erasers,Pencil sharpener, Color pencils, Watercolor, Watercolor paper, and Brush
Tuition: $15/student/session ($270 total, no refund after one sessions). Make check payable to Yanshu Hsu.
