Sammamish Chinese Academy was founded in 1999 to provide Chinese lessons (in Mandarin Chinese) for children aged 4 and up in the Issaquah & Sammamish plateau area.

Our curriculum is specially designed to teach children (aged 4 and up) to speak, read and write Mandarin Chinese. Chinese culture, Chinese history, Chinese crafts and games are blended with Chinese language instruction. Through many fun-filled activities and individual instructions, students at SCA learn quickly and effectively.

Depending on each individual student and his/her interest, the curriculum can be focused primarily on speaking, reading or writing Mandarin Chinese. Once student reaches to a comfortable level in speaking, reading or writing Mandarin Chinese, he/she will be directed toward the next focusing area of his/her interest until he/she masters all three. Students are expected to have weekly homework and two exams (mid-term and final) each quarter.

Sammamish Chinese Academy offers two parallel sessions each week (Saturday mornings or Wednesday afternoons) for two quarters (Fall and Winter/Spring quarters) during the academic school year and runs a full-day program in the Summer.
