Q: Do you trade?

A: Sure. Generally on a 1 for 1 basis. No Cdr's, and I'll trade a CD for a 7" as well. You'll most likely get some of the older stuff we have that is not moving too well anymore instead of our latest stuff. 

Q: Do you have a promo list?

A: Yes we do. If you have a print Zine and you'd like us to send you stuff for review or if you do a radio show and want us to send you something please send a copy and all applicable information. (print run, frequency, distro, hours of radio show etc. ) If we think it will help us to send you some promo stuff then we will. If you don't hear back that means we're most likely not interested. We do not send stuff to e-zines, so please don't ask. 

Q: Do you take submissions for your zine?

A: Yes we do. Please send it in a body of an e-mail or send a CDr or floppy disc  in  MSword format to Chicken-Head Records at the above address. Please send any pics you have as a separate file, or better yet, a hard copy. 

Q: What will you take for submission?

A: Most anything. Comics are always welcome as well as stuff on bikes and anything funny. We like to laugh over here at CHR H.Q. Remember, it's up to us to decide what goes into the zine, We're trying to do some good stuff here so think out what you're going to do before you mail it off. Just cause you try does not mean it's good enough!

Q: I run a label, zine, am in a band, or other project and am interested in advertising with you guys, what are your ad rates etc.? 

A: Our ad rates are 20.00 for 1/4 of a page, 40.00 for a half page and 80.00 for a full page ad. Send us you ad in hardcopy form and we'll scan it in and make all necessary adjustments so it will conform to each ad size. Our Zine is full sized like a magazine, 24 pages, and is black and white, but we can work with a color ad, it will be in greyscale. We publish quarterly, with a print run of 2000. We're all over the greater Los Angeles area, San Diego, San Francisco & Minneapolis as well. We take Zines to all the shows we set up, play in and attend (that's a lot!) Send well concealed cash, or make check or money order out to Paul de Valera. Do not make it out to Chicken-Head, we're not there yet. We will gladly send you a sample if you want to check it out first before you spend your money advertising with us.

Q: I'm in a band, do a zine or have some other stuff I'd like you guys to check out, can I send it?

A: Yes! Please send a copy of your zine or bands music to the above address. We try to review everything but it may take some time as we publish quarterly, so please be patient. Bands, DO NOT send us Mp3s of your band, my connection is slower than the seasons so all you'll be doing is wasting both of our time. Send a hard copy and be sure to include cover art and contact information. 

Q: I'm trying to get my band on a label, can I send a copy of our band to you for future projects?

A: Sure! We're not doing comps for a while (if ever again) but if we like you, well get in touch for a possible release. We're leaning toward CD splits right now, so you know. At least you'll get a review in the zine. 

Q: I want a copy of your zine, how do I get one?

A: Send a dollar to the above address and we'll mail you one ASAP. We do subscriptions as well for a buck an issue. 

Q: I'm in a band and we're booking a tour, can you help?

A: Check out the resource section on the site for a list of venues to play at. Need crash space? I can help with that too. Just let me know in advance so I can get ready for some smelly punks sleeping on my floor.

Q: Can I get free stuff from you guys?

A: Really, Fuck off. I sell the shit cheap enough already ya cheap bastards. 

Q: Do you have a street team?

A: No, and we don't plan on having one any time soon. I don't have the budget to give away a bunch of free stuff, sorry.
