If it wasnt enough to be the first-ever CXW Tag Team Champion, Freaky J made a strong first impression by becoming the 3rd-ever CXW CHAMPION at April's ConsequenceS.
Freaky J and Nasty K formed formed the most charismatic tag team in CXW history, "Freak-Nasty."  The era of Freak-Nasty was abruptly ended when they lost the titles at ConsequenceS.
For nearly 6 months, Freaky J and Warheart fought all over the city of Chicago, a rivalry rooted in the Tag Team Championship Ladder match back in October 2001.  Freaky J and Nasty K were doing everything they could to hold on to the Tag Team Titles, but Warheart and Dangerous D.A. were hell-bent on taking them away.  This, of course, led to several violent outings between the 6'3" newcomer and the former CXW CHAMPION.
After ConsequenceS, however, CXW was no longer the same.  Warheart and Dangerous D.A. were the new Tag Team Champions, and the team of Freak-Nasty was broken up.  This left Freaky J with one more option, to participate in the 10-man Battle Royal for the CXW CHAMPIONSHIP.  Going against the likes of Dangerous D.A., Warheart, and the Xtremecore icons, King Hippo and Tony Manzana, Freaky J faced the toughest competition of his career, and after powerbombing Dangerous D.A. on a steel chair, an image that will be burned in every CXW fans' memory, Freaky J became the 3rd-ever CXW CHAMPION.
Holding the title against nearly everyone in the company, Freaky J became the man to represent Chicago Xtreme Wrestling, as he successfully defended the CXW CHAMPIONSHIP against UBW's Gangsta, JwA's Dark Ryda (currently CXW Fighter, Jamie Monoxide), and didn't lose the title until late July, to the current CXW CHAMPION, Dangerous D.A.
At Disturbing The Peace, Freaky J brought the Tag Team Championship back around his waist.  But this time, he won the titles with the former Pay Per View Champion, the "Craziest Mother-F***er in CXW", Jamie Monoxide.
With Nasty K absent from CXW tapings for almost a year, the Freak-Nasty Era will probably never resurface, but Freaky J has made sure that his presence in the company will always be felt.
