At the end of 2001, Chicago Xtreme Wrestling was venturing into waters unknown.  After 2 successful video releases (Capital Punishment 2000, Resurrection 2001), CXW needed something new.  That "something new" ended up being Nasty K, Freaky J, and the current CXW CHAMPION, Dangerous D.A.  Being the former CXW CHAMPION, Warheart decided to take one of the newly acquired fighters under his wing.
Adopting the Bed Of Razors and eventually the D Bomb into his repertoire, Dangerous D.A. became a younger, faster reflection of what Warheart used to be.  Together they fought Nasty K and Freaky J on many occasions, including the unreleased Ladder Match in Hollywood Video, and the Chicago Streetfight, in which they finally captured the Tag Team Championships.
However, at For Whom The Bell Tolls, Dangerous D.A. decided to strike out into CXW with his very own "something new."  After turning his back on Warheart at the infamous Tag Team Championship Match in which Erik Coldblood debuted by D Bomb- Frog Splashing Warheart, Dangerous had started his own era within CXW.
But it wasnt until late summer that D.A. would make his biggest impression in CXW,...winning the CXW CHAMPIONSHIP.  Finally on Friday, August 23rd, a fuse that took 1 year to light finally fired up Chicago Xtreme Wrestling when first, Erik Coldblood came back to CXW and helped Nitemare cripple Jamie Monoxide, second, when Kaos and Tony Manzana both pledged alliegance to Dangerous D.A.'s "something new", when they pledged alliegance to the Devil's Advocates.
On October 4th, Dangerous D.A. passed the greatest test of his career: beating the man that tought him everything he knows, Warheart.  At Disturbing The Peace, Dangerous D.A. got a ladder suplexed onto him, and two tables thrown on him, all while buried in a pile of nearly 30 steel chairs.  Dangerous eventually handcuffed Warheart, and proceeded to make him a living example of him in the name of the Devil's Advocates.  D.A. got the pinfall, and ended the career of the first-ever CXW Champion.
One thing is for sure, the current CXW CHAMPION is a reflection of what Chicago Xtreme Wrestling stands for, and what it represents: "the only way we're leaving is suicide."
