I was born and raised on the Central Coast of
California. The weather here, is suitable for tooling
almost all year long. We do have cold and frost in the
winter time, and leathers are a must.

I am 42 years young, with two teenage sons,
and a dog! Having boys in the house,there has always
been an assortment of pets around. My best girl was P.J.,
our old Border Collie. She would ride the little Honda
I rode back in the 70's,with me! The worst experience I
have ever had, was dodging the turtles in the roads
back in the Ozarks!

And of course the boys loved to ride with me when they
were young. (They are much too big and knowledgeable these
days to tool with their Mom,....much!)

I have riden Yamahas since I cannot remember. The Yamaha
Virago, 750cc, I am riding now,I aquired in the spring of '97.
She is a black beauty, '91, and only had 1500 miles on her.
She's like new! About the most I have ever put on her is
300 miles in any given day. Mostly because of time and
responsibilities. Someday soon though, I am going to head
east! I have riden a Harley, 1200cc's, but I find that things
go numb with all that vibration. (We won't go into this!)

There is a helmet law in California. And even if there wasn't,
I would ride with one, always have! It is a combination
of age, experience, and the unknown element of foolish
people out there on the road! And although I have missed
any big scraps, I have seen what happens without the helmet!
