Hi all. Haven't updated this part in a while, so I decided it was about time to update! Woohoo! I just beat an awesome game called Kingdom Hearts. For those of you who have not heard about it, it's and action RPG developed by Squaresoft (the peeps behind Final Fantasy, Lengend of... , Chrono series, etc). The unusual thing, though, is that this game was a team effort by Square and Disney. Yes, you heard me right. Disney. It combines, characters from Square's past games, characters from Disney movies, and totally original characters. It's the craziest thing I have ever set sight upon, but I gotta tell you... it WORKS! This game is absolutely AMAZING! I loved it! Woohoo! Not only is it incredibly fun, but the story is great too. And it's awesome to some of your fave Square and Disney characters meet. Incredible. One thing that really gets me is that this game is rated E. Meaning it's the equivalent to a G-rating in the video game world. I don't know how it got this rating because this game has a severely dark undertone to it and has lots of adult themes. I have a feeling that the ESRB (the video game rating board) took a look at the beginning, saw Disney characters and immediately slapped an E on it, thinking Disney = for kids. No way. Kids wouldn't be able to play this game. It would scare the crap out of this game. The plot in Kingdom Hearts is just outright EVIL! It ranks up there with the plots of any Final Fantasy game (in terms of maturity). Ugh. Yea. Okay, I'm gonna talk about the ending of the game now, so if you don't want it spoiled, skip this next paragraph:
So anyway, yea. The ending is another thing that totally screens T! (A T is the equivalent to a PG-13 rating in the video game world). I mean, in E games, the good guy always wins at the end, goes home, gets the girl, whatever. Just like in a G movie. But this totally throws that away! I mean, Sora beats the Heartless at the end, restores the universe, but he can't go back home with his girl (Kairi). He stays behind and sends her back (I think he had to stay behind to restore everything). The ending is just so sad, but happy at the same time. But yea, left me kinda sad. Like the FF10 ending left me. But there is a way to get an alternate ending, so I'm gonna try to get that one and then see if it's any happier.
Okay, you can start reading again. The spoiler is over. One thing that's really top notch about this game is the voice acting! They got my fave actor to do the voice of the main character! GO HALEY JOEL OSMENT! I luv that guy. He's so cool. They also have a truckload of celebrities doing voices for other characters include Mandy Moore, David Boreanz (sp?), Billy Zane and Lance Bass. It's really an all star cast and it's really great. I'd say the voice acting compares with that of MGS, the current king of video game voice acting. It's great. Ahh... I'm in love with Kingdom Hearts. I can't decide if I like it more than Chrono Trigger or not. But it's definitely in my top 2 somewhere. Heh.
Well, yesterday my homie Brian came to Irvine to visit! It was fun! We went to the arcade and played Soul Calibur 2. That game is great! I can't wait for it to come out on GameCube. I'm gonna get it and learn how to use Talim. She's cute. I'm soooooo sad they took out Seung Mina and Sigfried. They took out all the palette swaps and kept the more popular guys. And for some reason (probably cuz he uses the Soul Edge), they left Nightmare in and kicked Sigfried out. Me sad! And though I can understand why they left Kilik in and Seung Mina out, I'm still sad! She was such a cutie! They also got rid of Sophitia and put in some girl in her place. I forgot her name. But yea. Oh well. Kilik looks really cool now. I'm gonna learn him and Talim when I get the game. Whenever I see the fencer guy Raphael, I think of my friend Julian! Hahahahaaaa!!
Oh, and ATi's making a Radeon 9700 All-in-Wonder! Haha! I knew they would! But it's gonna be $500! WoW!

Hello. During the weekend my homie Jeh and I went all over the place looking for resin kits. DAMMIT! They are soooooooooo rare. We didn't find ANY of the ones I wanted. But yea... sux. I found some good anime stores otherwise though. Oh yea, I met a writer for some cool cartoons like Justice League and The Zeta Project. I didn't talk to him, but Jeh did. Kinda cool. I finally got an English version of Office. But it's not XP like I used to have. Only 2000, but it should be good enough. Kinda funny cuz I was so used to Chinese, that it took me a second to recognize the English! Haha! I laugh because it's funny.
Just a couple more days and the End of Eva DVD comes out and Star Fox Adventures comes out too... I am soooo excited! I'm also pissed off cuz Microsoft bought Rare! WTF?!?!?!?!! I'm kinda disappointed with Nintendo's lackluster effort to keep Rare and stuff. Well... with the money Nintendo got, they better get some GOOD developers. Like get the Metal Gear franchise over to Cube! That would kinda make up for Rare's loss... still... it sux.

Wsup once again! Almost two months without an update to my thoughts.... hmmm.... what's been up with me lately? Yes, I am going to tell you even if you don't give a darn.
Well, first off, summer school is finally finished! YAY! God, that class SUCKED! I hope I can get a B- in it. I got a C on the midterm so basically whatever I get on the final I get for my grade. PLEASE GIVE ME A B- OR HIGHER!!! I studied my ass of for that test. Man, that professor is nuts. His quizzes are all easy, then BAM! the questions on the exams are tougher. I learned from the midterm and tried to prepare for tougher questions but... it only went so-so. EVE 70B is like 1000000000000000000000000 times tougher than 70A. Ugh.
Tomorrow I'm going home. Yay! I get to see my homies and stuff. Me and my buddy are going to this store called Neotype Station cuz I'm really interested in building a resin kit but I don't want to buy one on eBay from some dude in Thailand cuz it'll probably take a billion years to get to me plus it might be shoddy quality. I'd rather pay a bit more for better kits. I'm deciding whether to do one of Misato (from Evangelion) holding a pistol and looking all badass, or one of her in a towel holding a can of beer. I want the first one cuz a) it looks awesome and b) it looks more interesting. However, the towel one is cool too cuz a) it's really cute and b) it looks a little easier. Well, once I see what the store has, I'll decide. If it has only one, I'll just get that one. If it has both, I'll probably get the pistol one. It better not have any cuz I read online it's got a bunch of resin kits.
The dates of greatness (Sept 23 and 24) are coming up! I'm so excited. On those two dates, StarFox Adventures and End of Evangelion DVD come out! w00t! Look for reviews on both (DVD first) in the Misc. Reviews section! I might hold off on Animal Planet till a bit later, but I'll still definently get it.
You know what pisses me off? That people STILL think Nintendo is a kiddie system. AUGH! I've seen on the net and stuff how people always say that it's a big problem, but I never believed it was THAT bad until like last week when one of my friends came over and I forgot what we were talking about, but he said 'Nintendo is just for kids'. And I was like 'WHHAATTT!!!!!!!!!' And I named all those kick arse games for adults like Resident Evil, Eternal Darkness, and Metroid Prime. He said only Resident Evil is a mature game and that he associated Metroid with kids cuz he played it when he was a kid! COME ONNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MP looks so kick arse. He's gonna CRY when he sees me playing it when I get it. CRYCRYCRY! Cuz he has a PS2! AFIAJ(EWASKNfiaoshdjklawfa!!!! Nintendo ROX!!!!
In related gaming news, I read the Rare is joining up with MS!!! AUGH!!!!! But rare is supposed to make dope ass games for the big N ONLY! What happened?! I really think Nintendo has to push harder to get new developers and to keep the big ones they already have. Rare was definently one of the greatest exclusive developers Nintendo had. *sigh* I'm so sad. Hopefully Kameo will still come out on the Cube, cuz that game looks rockin.
Well, that's if for now. I'm soooooo bored. The only good thing about school is that whenever you're bored, you can always keep yourself busy by studying. Ugh. Man, next quarter is gonna suck major balls. 2 engineering classes and a computer science class. The CS class is gonna be cool cuz I like to program, but man... engineering sucks cuz hardware is a pain in the ass.
Anyway, I guess I'll watch a couple more episodes of Noir (which is a dope sauce anime that I recently acquired. Don't be surprised to see it on my top 5 anime list after I finish the series!). Then I'll go to sleep. Anyway, see ya!

Hello friends/enemies/neutrals. I am back. Actually, I never really left, but you know what I mean. Anyway, I finally got to put together a new computer. It's pretty nice. Here are the specs:

Yoop. Runs nicely except XP doesn't run older games too well, but that's okay. Also, I can't seem to update my video card drivers. Whenever I do, XP can't detect the hardware. It's funky. But it's okay for now since the original drivers are alright. If it starts to affect performance, I'll call ATi. Yoop.
Also, my cousin came over for a whole month! WoW! It was really fun. We played video games all day, watched lots of movies, and went game shopping. Tite. He's such a funny guy. I hope he comes down next year too! Woohoo!
Running out of things to do this summer... I've already beaten all my Cube games and got another one (Eternal Darkness) and beat that one too. I also beat Jedi Knight 2. Hmm... I think I'll get Rogue Squadron or something. But I'll rent it first since the reviews say it rocks but my friend said he heard it gets a bit boring at the end. We'll see.
I also lost my phone during the summer. I had to get a replacement. Bah. It wouldn't make me so mad except the guys that found my phone (it fell out of my pocket when I was watching a movie) didn't return it to lost and found AND they even called me up and tried to make fun of me or something. Damn bastards. It's okay though. I've got all the numbers they've called and I'll try to track em down. Haha, I wish, but yea. Anyway, they were like middle schoolers and stuff. I just played it cool and casually confused em with my zany antics. Hopefully they don't have a phone charger so once the battery dies, the my phone book dies too. I don't want em to know all my friend's phone numbers. That would be horrible. BLARGH!
Today I saw a wierd Korean movie called The Isle. It was about... well... not much. Kinda like this other Korean movie I saw called La Belle, except with less nudity/pretty girls, and more violence and disgusting stuff. If you wanna see this movie, stop reading this paragraph now cuz I'm gonna spoil some parts. There is your spoiler warning. Heh. Anyway, there was this one part where this guy was trying to not be found by the police, so he swalled like 5 fish hooks and this girl came and helped him and dropped him in the lake so it looked like she was fishing while he was hanging on by the hooks in his mouth. It was wild, yet pointless. I think he was trying to kill himself, but the girl found him and helped him out. WiErD. And at the end the girl fish-hooks her vagina to stop the guy from running away. Wierd. The very end made no sense as well. The coulda ended it like 30 seconds early and it would have made perfect sense (well, not PERFECT) but the last scene was not only disturbing (it showed the what has to be THE hairest pubic are ever), but made absolutely no sense. I think the film makers were going for deep, but it totally flew right past me.

Yea! I finally got a GameCube! Me so happy! Actually I got it on Saturday. I got the GC, a memory card, an extra controller, Resident Evil, and Super Smash Brothers Melee. It was good that I waited cuz Best Buy had a sale: all GC software 10% off! So I got the games at $42 instead of $50! WoW! Gotta love it. After I got it me and my buddy Brian played Smash Bros. for many hours. It was awesome! I love that game! I played some RE too, but it was late and the game was kinda freaking me out, so I waited till the next day to play it. RE is so awesome. The graphics rulez0rz! AND the game is hella fun. FUN! It's really hard too, though. I played RE2 and it was easier. For the GC version of RE, you gotta dispose of the zombie bodies by blowing their heads off or setting them on fire. If you don't they come back to life and turn into these crazy red zombies that run faster than you fan! CRAZY! The puzzles aren't as formulaic as RE2 either. These puzzles kinda take a little more time to think out. AND I've only found 2 safe rooms (rooms with an item box and save point) plus and extra save point so far. It's HARD! But really fun. And seeing my lovely Valentine (Jill Valentine that is) on the GC is dope sauce. She rulez.
I'm back at school now. I wish I had my GC so I could be playing now, but my mom wouldn't let me bring it back with me. I guess that's good since I need to concentrate on my homework and studies. But when I get home... GC! I'm gonna apply for this job at Nintendo where you walk around with a GC and TV strapped to you and let people play GC! Haha! Whatta fun job! The only thing is that I need to make a dumb 2 minute video saying why I'm cool for the job. Oh well...
Today, my roommate is gonna bring back his girlfriend. So unlike last time, I'm going to leave the room. Last time I said I'd leave but he said it was okay. So I thought it was cool, but then I read his website and it said that I WOULDN'T leave and I FORCED him to do stuff with his gf while I was in the room. I was like WTH?! And he said he'd change it. I hope he did. Lemme check now... uhh.. yea, he changed them. He didn't take the ones I wrote for them, but I guess they are okay. Here's wat it says (I'm bat): 'had to do stuff wif bat in the room becuz no privacy' - this one is the fixed one. It sounds alright. But still has that negative connotation, ya know? At least not as bad as last time. It used to say something like: 'had to do stuff wif bat in the room because he wouldn't leave us along.' Here's the other one Look at this one: 'audio wknd, my bat roomie in the room n me n her do stuffs..wif him 2 ft away' It's alright. It used to be something like: 'audio wknd, my bat roomie didn't leave the room and forced me to do stuff with her...wif him 2 ft away' And BEFORE that, just replace bat with fag and that's wat it used to say. Well, I guess this is as good as it's gonna get. It guess it doesn't really have that bad of a connotation, but the one I wrote for him was better. I basically said to write that I offered to leave, but he said it was okay since he didn't want to be messed up and kick me out of my own room. Why he didn't take that one (since it makes him sound like a gentleman) is beyond me, but whatever.
Oh yea, I had this dope sauce dream. I had like physics powers and stuff and I lived in this parallel universe. And then all these aliens came and invaded and I was using my powers to create force walls to keep am out of my house, but at the end there were too many, and I got too weak and they came in and blew everything up. I escaped in a space ship and went to this other universe where I met these triplets. When I first saw one, I knew she had cool powers like me, but she said she didn't. But then I saw another girl that looked like her and another one. Then I looked back and her face changed! I was like: 'I get it! Face changing triplets! Cool!' And then they changed their faces back and admitted they had powers and they asked me if I had powers. And I was like: 'Yea, watch this.' and I created a ball of electricity in my hand. It was dope. I don't really remember the rest. But it was awesome. Friday night I had a dream I was Spider-man. It was cool, but kinda scary since these guys came and were gonna do something really bad, but I didn't have my costume on, but I decided to sacrifice my secret identity to save everyone, so I shot webs out and stuff and they all started shooting me and I was dodging the bullets using spider-sense. It was cool. It was like I knew where to go to dodge bullets. Cool, eh? Super hero dreams are the coolest!

Wow! I'm so excited! I'm almost done with this website that has taken me forever and ever to finish. I'm also excited because issue 2 of The Potential is done. But you don't get to see it yet. Nyah nyah. I'll post it up next week sometime. Last night, I stayed up till very very late trying to finish this Java program. I thought I had most of it done when I started, but man, I underestimated the power of that program! This one tiny little error kept me scratching my head for like an hour and a half. Good thing my TA replied to my e-mail. I forgot to make my vectors instance variables, so they couldn't be used out of the main function. Blargh. But I finished and I'm quite proud of the program. It's pretty nice and works well. Other than that, life has been pretty uneventful. My grades are looking up. I have straight B-'s in all my classes except my circuits class, which I have a B. I got a 70 on the midterm and the mean was 56. Nice, eh? My mistakes were really dumb too. I coulda got an 85 no problem, but I made some careless mistakes. I think I'm going home for Memorial Day, so I can chill with my homies and my family. Hopefully I'll get to see Star Wars Ep 2 and MIB II*. It'll be fun. I can watch one with my friends and one with my family. Yes... I watch movies with my parents. Got a problem with that? I didn't think so... And I'm so excited that the Gamecube price has dropped to $150. I think I might get one this weekend as well. I've been saving money for like 7 weeks or something. I was gonna buy it a couple weeks ago, but decided to wait cuz I heard rumblings of Sony and MS dropping the prices of their systems. And when they did, I knew Nintendo had to go down too. And they did! Alright! Patience is virtue, my fellow friends. So now I can go get one and save $50! I love it. The first game I get is going to be, of course, the Resident Evil remake. It looks so awesome and it features my girl Jill Valentine (Yes, I know I sound like a freak calling a video game character 'my girl', but whatchagonnado about it?) Well, more to come later!
*This is a mistake-o! I thought MIBII was coming out on Memorial Day Weekend! But alas, it's actually July 3rd! What was I thinking?!
