Hi, my name is Rob Bridgman. I am a specialist in chalk art for stage backdrops. My realistic works include backdrops for community plays such as "A Christmas Carol," "Animal Crackers", and "One Voice"(an Easter musical drama). I have also done artwork for beauty pageantry and school murals. Another specialty that I do is pen and ink drawings as well as pencil drawings. Below the divider at the bottom of the page, are links to other chalk backgrounds which may be of interest to you. Please feel free to visit these pages and let me know what you think. At the present time I can be contacted by E-Mail at the following address: [email protected] |

| Hello, this is Rob's father, and I was director of this particular play in November of 1999. An unusual thing happened concerning this picture. After an ad about the play (with picture) had been published in the local newspaper, the senior director recieved a phone call from someone who had been interested in antiques, and she wanted to know if the bookcase was for sale. Naturally you can imagine her surprise when she was told that it was just a chalk art drawing for the play. Many people who attended the play were impressed at the realistic look of the drawing. If you will notice, at the bottom of the picture, it looks very much like it is standing in front of the flat on which it was drawn complete with shadows cast by the legs of the bookcase. This is what gives it it's realistic appearance. This particular picture was used as a background in Scrooge's business office. Scrooge and Bob Cratchet sat either side of this case during a scene in the play. |
