This set was done to make it look like it was taking place in a very rich house. They asked me to come up with a large hallway that looked like you could walk through it. I also had to make it match the rest of the backdrop. Notice that the waynescoat continues down the hallway and back to join with the rest of the set. As I was sitting in the audiance while the play was in progress, I overheard people talking about how the hallway made them feel dizzy because it looked so real. I felt that I had accomplished what I set out to do and was pleased with the results. The blue walls were done in paint and the waynescoat was done in chalk. The marble pillars were done with construction paper and glue. The play was a big success and everyone was pleased with the work. I would also like to thank my father, who played the part of " Chico Marx " ( above ), for the help and support he gave me while doing this set for Attic Productions of Bourtetort County, VA. It was a great honor for me to work with such talented and professional people. You must try to see one of their productions. I think you would be impressed. Thanks for visiting, Robert Bridgman |
