                                                                       History
The Goons began play in 2005 when the CHL restarted as the Indianapolis Huns.  The team was the worst in the league, finishing in last place.  After the season, owner Bill Mullen sold the team to John and Tom O'Neill, who moved the Huns to Cambridge, Ontario, a suburb of Toronto, and renamed the team the Goons.
The Goons immediately showed improvement under their new ownership, finishing in second place in the Hanson Division and making the playoffs.  They upset division champion Colorado in the first round, and advanced to the Finals, where they lost to Northampton.
They had continued success in 2007-08, winning the Hanson Division and advancing to the Finals again.  They were heavily favored against Boston, but got swept 4-0.
During the summer of 2008, the team's ownership changed once again, as the O'Neill's gave up control of the team.  The new owner is Anam Owili-Eger, who took over the Ashburn League's Kensington Slumlords from the O'Neill's.
