| History The Massacre were founded in 2005 when the CHL restarted. They finished in second place in their inaugural season, making it to the Finals before getting swept by Northampton. Things didn't go as well for Boston in their second season, as they finished in last place in the Brown Division in 2006-07. However, things turned around in a big way for the Massacre in 2007-08. After blowing a big lead in the division and watching the Cougars clinch another division title, they were on the brink of being eliminated from the playoffs, down 3-2 going into Game 6 at the Guinness Center. They pulled off two straight wins on the road against the Cougars, including a close Game 7, to advance to the Finals. Then in the Finals, they upset heavily favored Cambridge, sweeping the Goons and winning their first CHL Championship. |
