Charles Fernandez took a temporary position as webmaster for the Hillsborough County Sheriff"s Office (HCSO) during the summer of 2000. While his primary duty was to maintain the official HCSO website, his superiors in the Crime Prevention department took full advantage of his skills as an artist. In addition to maintaining the website, he produced a varierty of original drawings and graphics for use in some of the HCSO's publications.

He was also responsible for creating two new HCSO publications:

"The Many Jobs of Deputy Goodman"

and

"Benny the Beetle Says..."
