The HCSO was in the process of ordering new flags during the time that Charles Fernandez worked there.

He was asked to break-down the elements of a standard Sheriff's Office Star into a format and colorscheme that could be readily used by the silk screeners contracted to make the flags.

This star apears on every Sheriff's Office flag flown in Hillsborough county today.
