He won world fame with is astonishing work, the
documentary movie about USA and guns,
"Bowling for Columbine". Why do
Americans spend so much of their time killing
each other by pointing the gun, at each other and
the world? This was the main question of the
movie which indulged itself deeply in the issue.
It dealt with the school killings at Columbine
High School and the issue where a 6-year old shot
another 6-year old. It dealt with what Americans
blamed their problem on, ethnicity, violent
history etc. He took on the NRA (National Rifle
Association) and it`s president, Oscar winner
(Moses in the 10 Commandments) Charleton Heston.
Heston stood with no chance when Moore confronted
him on the issues of American gun violence.
Heston talked about violent history and
ethnicity, Moore counter-attacked saying that
Germany, Canada and Britain also has a violent
history and many people from different ethnic
backgrounds. The scenario ended with Heston
walking out of the interview, totally humiliated
by the genius himself. Michael Moore.Moore meant that Americans shoot
each other because of fear. Fear of war, fear of
the world, fear of diseases which doesn`t exist,
fear of killer bees from unknown places, fear of
the unknown and fear of the black man in the
street. Fear make them buy guns for protection.
Guns which ultimately kill themselves.
BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE.
A MOVIE WHICH DEFINITIVELY WILL OPEN YOUR EYES!

Two other works of Moore are his books,
"DOWNSIZE THIS. RANDOM THREATS FROM AN
UN-ARMED AMERICAN" and "STUPID WHITE
MEN"Both
of his books are attacks on the USA, their
politicians and corporate crooks. In
"Downsize..." he arguments that America
has a one party system with two heads. The
Democrats and the Republicans are two sides of
the same coin, telling the same lies and in the
end the losers are the American people. He also
takes a crack at the American corporate world and
their search for profits at any cost, even the
lifes of human beings.
In "Stupid White
Men" he attacks president George W. Bush and
his Government`s policy. The nation has lot`s of
economic and welfare problems which should be
sorted out. Instead the politicians fill their
own pockets and take on the innocent world to get
even more power and wealth.
Moore shows courage to
come out with his controversial opinions of the
US state and it`s leaders and politics. He
represents the common man, and has said himself
said that he is doing something which surely many
other people wants to do but can`t, either
because of lack of money or ability. So he is
doing this for them. That`s why the common man
also was present to announce his or her`s
opinions at the prestigious Oscar Award Ceremony.
"Bowling for Columbine" won the award
for the best non-fiction movie. Moore went up,
accepted the prize and lashed out on George W.
Bush and the US war in Iraq :
"On
behalf of our producers Kathleen Glynn and
Michael Donovan (who is from Canada), I'd like to
thank the Academy for this award.
I have invited my fellow documentary nominees on
the stage with us. They're here in solidarity
with me because we like nonfiction. We like
nonfiction, yet we live in fictitious times. We
live in a time where we have fictitious election
results that elect a fictitious president. We
live in a time where we have a man sending us to
war for fictitious reasons. Whether it's the
fiction of duct tape, or the fiction of orange
alerts. We are against this war, Mr. Bush. Shame
on you, Mr. Bush, shame on you. And any time you
got the Pope and the Dixie Chicks against you,
your time is up. Thank you very much."

Actually Moore has been a well-known name for a
long time. In 1989 he won fame with his
documentary "Roger and
Me". This is about
General Motors and his hometown Flint, Michigan.
General Motors was the biggest employer in Flint
giving work 30 000 workers.GM, despite earning huge
profits, closed down their factories in Flint in
1988 and fired the 30 000 workers just to make
more profits by moving their factories to Mexico.
The super hit documentary is about Moore`s search
after General Motors chairman Roger Smith so that
he can show him what GM had done to his hometown.
"Roger and Me" became
and is still the biggest non-fiction profit
maker.
Moore is out to prove a
point, and isn`t afraid to lash out at his own
country, the US of A, the super power of the
world. His next work, which might be the mosr
controversial till now, is called Fahrenheit 911.
It`s about 11th September 2001 and about the Bush
familiy`s connections to the Bin LAden family,
before and after 911.
