What a crazy pair!
I hate eating out by myself, but I did on Sunday. Well, no, not really. I was looking at myself while eating, and talking to myself too. Well, no, not really. A few times I had to remind myself, Kieran, you are not crazy, you are only having brunch with your doppelgänger.
I met the charming, cute, and fun Hugo for the first time this weekend. He had e-mailed me several months ago to tell me that someone at a blogger function had mistaken him for me. At first I was afraid, I was petrified: I have a little bit of a self-esteem issue after being told I look like Adam Savage from the show Mythbusters. Now, if someone said I was as smart as Adam Savage, or as handy as Adam Savage, that would be fine, but I'm a bit touchy about the looks thing.
Hugo and I finally met in person after exchanging e-mails for months. When I saw him walking across Union Square, I thought, Oh, my God, what am I doing over there? I It's a good thing I changed my shirt or we would have looked like Doublemint Twins. In reality we were more like identical cousins Patty and Cathy Lane, and I'm down with that. I'm Patty, the one who's only seen the sights a girl can see from Brooklyn Heights. (And--a hot dog does make me lose control.) So picture Hugo as Cathy, only with bigger biceps. And I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Hugo has been everywhere from Zanzibar to Berkeley Square.

Turns out we have a lot in common. We both work in the financial industry, love language, keep blogs, and like to travel. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of each other--every time we look in the mirror.

Your poor mothers, sitting side by side, conceiving the only multiple-uterus twins.
It has always been eerie to me how similar you both are. It would be extra freaky to see you together.
OK, Patty, can we see a picture of Cathy?
Does that mean I get to have TWO boyfriends?
