Interactive Fanfic
Each week there will be an interactive fanfic for you all to add to should you want to show your creative writing abilities.

This week's starter scene:

Eve stood in the on-call room, staring at the words upon the locker in
front of her.  Ian Thornhart.  She covered her own eyes to block the words
from her view as she turned and leaned back against the cool metal
structures.  She was pregnant, and she was keeping the truth from
him.  Chris had offered her the perfect out to everything, and he really
made sense.  She simply had to say yes and he would help her start over,
never making promises that he couldn't keep and always placing her first in
his life.

The more she thought about it, the more Chris had always given her that
perfect kind of relationship.  He had never broken a promise to her, and he
had even gone out of his way to make sure she was safe and provided
for.  He had always made her believe in herself first, convinced her to
believe in who she was, and to never allow anyone to doubt her own
decisions.  So why had she forgotten all of those tenets to become such a
basketcase for Ian?

She sighed as she pushed away from the lockers and crossed the room.  She
didn't know what was ahead of her, but she knew that she couldn't face the
possibility of a future alone.  She had watched her mother make mistake
after mistake, and she didn't want to be like her mother.  She wanted her
daughter or son to be able to look back on childhood as happy times.  She
was beginning to believe that she could do that with Chris.

Chris opened the door to the on-call room and allowed the door to close
behind him.  He stood watching her for a moment, shifting on his feet
before he looked away, "Eve," He greeted her softly.

"Chris," Eve smiled as she spotted him.  She genuinely felt happiness at
the sight of him, but more so a sense of relief that she could finally
answer his proposal, "It's so good to see you.  I need to talk to you."

"I need to talk to you too," He replied as he shifted a bit more.

"I thought about your proposal, Chris....a lot actually," She admitted.

"Eve, about that proposal..."

"My answer is yes, Chris," She said as she watched him.  She smiled as she
saw his eyes turning to face her, "Yes, I'll marry you."

Chris slipped his hands into his pockets with a heavy sigh, "Eve..." He paused.

"What?  What is it?" She asked as she stepped towards him, "Chris, you're
scaring me."

"Eve," Chris started again as he stood taller and met her eyes again, "We
can't get married.....not now....not like this.....not ever."

In the blink of an eye, Eve listened as her last best hope withdrew and she
was left in shock and despair, "Why?" She asked feeling tears fill her
eyes, "Why did you change your mind?"
