The Forest Waye
Along this misty, lonely path the sound of birdsong can be heard.  A flash of red in the wild growing trees up ahead seems to beckon you to follow.  As you stroll further down the path you notice that the landscape moves from garden to copse to forest.  Searching for the red object you see that it is a cardinal and has landed on the hand of a black haired figure.

This is Johnathon, though if this is his real name we may never know for he is a Hobtrust and they never give their true names.  Rook was uncertain which glen he should dwell in, as he wears the "Tricky Hat' and can be viewed as one of the Tricksters.  He may move there in time, but at present we can only watch and learn.

Johnathon isn't really a Hobtrust, though, it is just the form he has chosen to currently wear.  Hobtrusts are faery folk, much like brownies, sometimes like Puck.  They dwell in "hob holes" or caves.  More often than not, they guard forests.  Hobs tend to wear red hats, hence the Tricky Hat that Johnathon wears, though his seems to change color.

Johnathon stands about 5'10", another sign that he isn't really a hobthrust as they are 3-4 feet in height.  He has deep brown eyes and unruly black hair.  Often one can hear music coming form the forest near this path, so Rook thinks he plays a musical instrument, but she's yet to see him doing so, so she isn't sure.

Johnathon's best friend and companion seems to be a small, male cardinal he calls Admiral.  Admiral carries messages for him and acts as a scout.  They are the very best of friends and Johnathon is rarely seen without him, or if he is, you can be sure he is not too far away.

Johnathon has decided, it seems, to be Rook's muse for a character in a few of her stories, a gypsy who goes by the name of Zardoz.
