The Orchard
A gentle breeze blows among the boughs of the apple trees.  Pale flowers petals to drift down to cover the ground beneath the branches with their snow-like whiteness & scent the air with their subtle fragrance.  Listen...there in the shadows of the orchard, down & around the bend, hear it...a lilting dance tune, now a soulful song, all played on the strings of a faery violin.

Among the boughs, branches and flower petals you will find the small Muse called
Stratis. Stratis is one of the faery folk known as a Grigg.  Stratis is also a faery fiddler, the type of fey who, with their magically enchanted violins, can  set mortals to dancing to their otherworldly music for as long as they play.  The music of the faery fiddlers are impossible to resist and hauntingly beautiful.  It is said that once you've heard the music of the faeries, music made by humans is hollow and pale by comparison.

Stratis is small, just a foot & a half tall.  Though he is small, he is perfectly preportioned, and appears as a small male with striking blue eyes, antennae & has the delicate wings like a cricket sprouting from his back.  Stratis has very strong legs, and, much like a cricket, they have hairs that form out of the backs of his calves, so that if he were to rub them together he would make the sound much like a cricket.  Stratis is very dapper, and well groomed from his small acorn cap that sits on his chestnut curls down to the tips of his leprechaun made shoes.  Stratis wears well tailored vests, and coats, with slits cut in the back so that his wings may stick out, of course, & short pants.

Stratis is full of spirit and smiles.  But one should not underestimate this Grigg for he carries a "Pixie Sticker", which is much like a rapier, which he can wield with great skill.  Stratis fiercely defends what he believes in, whether it is by the sword, music( for he is seldom without his fiddle) or with a few sharp words of wisdom.  Stratis is fearless and will not hesitate to confront a wrong-doer, no matter what their size.
