The Mushroom Garden

The path from the Groves winds into a small, cospe of trees that eventually parts to reveal a finely tended rock garden.  As the terrain grows rockier, a wall of rock appears in the distance.  Braziers mark a opening in the cliff face, a cavern.  if you choose to take up the torch, or need no such light source and enter the cavern entrance, you feel the temperature become warmer, moister.  The walls seem lit in patches, where glowing lichen and fungus hang on the rock walls.  Mushrooms of all colors, shapes and sizes spring up near the border of the path and stretch back as far as your eyes can see in the darkness. You have entered the Mushroom Garden, home to one of Rook's eldest Muses.

Drizzt became one of Rook's muses about 13 years ago, back before the days of university.  Rook has always held an interest in the Fey folk & elves, but upon learning about the Drow race, through Drizzt's eyes, she became fascinated.  The more she learned, the more knowledge she wanted.

Though Drizzt is not like his kinsmen of the drow race, he bears the coloring (white hair & obsidian black skin), facial features, build( he stands about 5'4" & weighs about 130lbs.), carries the magics & grace of the dark elves.  The one feature that is uncommon, even among his kinsmen is that Drizzt has vivid lavender eyes.  These eyes glow when a battler rage or anger hits him, he is amused, or is using his vision in the darkest patches of night or in underground passages and caverns.

Drizzt is still very young for his race, not quite into his hundreth year, but he has experienced much.  It is believed he was favoured or 'touched' by his mother's goddess, but turned his back on the Goddess' cruel faith.  Eventually, when he ended up on the surface world, he found a gentler diety, one whom he could believe in, whose symbol is the Unicorn.

In the Realm of Muses, Drizzt is great friends with Aurturus and even helps the Mage with his knowledge in regards to mushrooms, and helps to tend Tor's mushroom garden when he is visiting from the frozen north.

Drizzt is a great warrior, taught by the best warrior in his home city, his father "Zak".  Drizzt is skilled in all weapons, is ambidextrous and very fast.   Though he can fight with any weapon, he prefers the two handed style, with which he employs scimitars.  These curved blades work well with his 'fighting dance'.  This Muse is poetry in motion.
