The self proclaimed most fabled franchise of CDFL history has a lot to prove this season. The Silver Dragons, who have had two poor seasons in the past three years finished last season tied for last place. Hayashi was 3-2 after week 5 last season and never won another game.

GM Mark Trollinger has attempted to return to the Silver Dragons' roots. Bringing back legendary Hayashi coach Don Shula, the return of the team's pink accent color and using the number 1 draft choice to bring back a solid running game, Trollinger pins his hopes on wild cards such as QB Kerry Collins, QB Kurt Warner, RB Marshall Faulk and WR Plaxico Burress.

Were this 2003, the backfield of Tomlinson, Portis and Faulk would definitely bring home the title. In 2005 is Trollinger living in the past? Clinging onto glory days gone by? The story unfolds against Moscow in Week 1...
