Andrei Leonov (dob:11-02-96) Father : unknown. Mother : bookkeeper There are no siblings Diagnosis Doctors have found that Andrei has an enlarged thyroid gland, a weak immune system, many medical problems which are difficult to treat due to reaction to anti-biotics, and is often unwell. Andrei still needs a sponsor.

Elaina Shashkova (dob: 25-05-92) Father : unemployed. Mother : farm worker Their are 6 siblings (all sick) Diagnosis Doctors have found that Elaina has early stages of leukaemia, an enlarged thyroid gland and a weak immune system. She suffers from headaches and major stomach problems. Recently she had an operation and is now in remission.

Artyom Verakcech (dob:13-2-96) Father: engineer. Mother: teacher There is 1 sibling Diagnosis Doctors have found that Artyom has an enlarged thyroid gland, a speech impediment and some stomach problems. He often has to have treatment at hospital.

Vladislav Aleshko (dob: 25-9-94) Father: unemployed. Mother: unemployed. There is 1 sibling Diagnosis Doctors have found that Vladislav has a weak immune system and headaches. He is often unwell and needs a better diet.This family is very poor and cannot afford to get medical treatment for thir children.

Vadislav Lipski (dob: 28-01-94) Father: farm worker. Mother: childminder Diagnosis Vladislav is generally unwell and suffers a range of medical problems related to Chernobyl.

Tatiana Toukatch (dob: 25-1-95) Father: geologist. Mother: unemployed There is 1 sibling Diagnosis Doctors have found that Tatiana has some problems with her throat (glands) and stomach problems as a result of radiation effects during her early development.

Oxana Artooshenko (dob: 16-1-96) Father: farm worker (divorced). Mother :infant clinic worker There is 1 sibling Diagnosis Doctors have found that Oxana has an enlarged thyroid gland and a weak immune system. During the Winter and Spring she suffers many colds. An improved diet and antibiotics would help her.
