Using the table below, find the age of your cat in the left column. The age that is displayed beside it in the right column is the age of your cat in human years.
For cats, old age is not a disease but a stage in life. It is important for you to know when your cat becomes a senior so that you may provide him/her with the best possible care.
Cats that have reached the age of seven or older are considered seniors. Senior cats may be at risk for age related problems. Your vet may suggest a special diet more suited to the older cat.
