The three most common ways in which poisons enter a cats body are by ingestion (eating) inhalation (breathing) and absorption (passes through their skin).
There are some common houseplants and garden plants that contain toxic substances. Curious cats may find these plants attractive and decide to chew on the leaves or flowers.
If by chance your cat has ingested a toxic plant, determine which plant was eaten and call your veterinarian immediately or any one of these poison control centers for Canada.
Below is a list of some of the plants that may be lethal to you cat. In most cases the treatment is simply a matter of removing the source.
