Bandar Seri Begawan, local viewer will be able to see the moon close to the planet Jupiter (magnitude of  -2.5) with angular separation of about 5 degrees on 23rd February 2002 at around 02:00 am. Jupiter can be easily identified as it is one of the brightest planets and is visible to the naked eyes. However this year, the brightness of Jupiter will start to decrease gradually.

Above: Viewing about WNW of Brunei at 01:30 local time, Jupiter (15 degree above horizon)

is above the dark limb of the moon with angular separation of 5 degrees.
