Looking at the sky and facing east-northeast at dawn on August 16, about 30 degrees above horizon, observer from Brunei will be able to see the waning crescent occults Jupiter (Magnitude of -2.00). When the moon is rising (3:06 am), Jupiter is already behind the moon. However, it will start to reappear before the sun-rise on the Moon's dark edge where it will be easy to watch. Make room in your schedule to watch this remarkable event.
