Samhain Bundle

Ingredients:

Consecrated Water (Consecrated water is water blessed by the moon, often with consecrated salt added. To get consecrated water, place regular water in a mason jar, seal tightly, and place outside on a full moon. On the outside of the jar write the following: Blessed, Sacred, Honored, Protected)

A Feather For Air (Any type)
Pinch of Salt or Earth For Earth (Must be consecrated)
Ashes For Fire (Can be from anything)
Seashell For Water (Any type)

Sprig of Lavender (For Peace)
A Sprig of Vervain (For Love)
Sprig of Rosemary (For Rememberance)
An Aloe Leaf (For Protection)

A Bone Can be from a chicken, cow, or sheep.

Piece of Cloth Either cotton or muslin, white or off-white in color, about 6x6inches.
Piece of Cord Either cotton or silk, black in color, about 12inches in length.
A Needle Using the needle, you will prick your index finger, and stir your blood in with the consecrated water. (Please be sure to steralize the needle carefully, using alcohol or an intense flame. You will also want to steralize the site where you prick and use a band-aid afterwards, to prevent infection. If you are completely averse to using your own blood, you can use chicken or beef blood. Only a drop or two is neccessary.)

Take the piece of cloth and place it on an a flat surface, upon it place the feather and bone, pinch of salt/earth, the ashes and seashell. Then place the herbs. In a small container, place the consecrated water and add the drop of your own blood.

Sprinkle the bundle with the water/blood mixture and chant:
"By bone, blood, breath, and tears,
By Earth, Air, Fire and Water,
For Peace, Love, Rememberance and Protection
I bless thee!"

Fold the bundle up into a square, and wrap the cord around it, tightly. Secure it with a double knot.

Lavender and Rosemary Sugar and Salt Scrub

Ingredients:

Fresh Rosemary You can purchase this at your local health food store or at a plant nursery.
Lavender Oil Only a few drops are neccessary.
Kosher Salt
Sugar White or brown
Rock Salt Also known as margarita salt. Bigger grains.
Epsom Salts This is optional, but if you use this scrub as an additive to a bath, it is a very welcome addition.
Olive Oil Extra, Extra Virgin olive oil is best.
Almond Oil
A Mason Jar The size of the jar is dependent on how much you wish to make.

Depending on how much scrub you wish to make, fill your mason jar with equal amounts of sugar, and the various salts, till they fill the jar 3/4ths of the way full.

Empty the salts and sugar into a mixing bowl.

In a seperate bowl add 4 drops of Lavender Oil, freshly ground rosemary, and 2 tablespoons of almond oil. Mix gently, then add to the sugar and salt mix.

Slowly add the olive oil to the sugar and salt mix, mixing the ingredients thoroughly. You want the scrub to be dampened, but not completely soaked by the oil.

Transfer your scrub to the mason jar and seal tightly. Use the scrub for ritual cleansings, or simply for relaxation in your bath.
