	MBTA Photo Tour - the 1980's

		I moved from Boston to Florida in 1980. But that has not kept me away from the T! I made a number of trips back to the Boston area from 1986 to 1989. The only regret I have is that I did not get any better pictures of the Washington Street Elevated. The reputation of the South End kept me from there. (Boston's neighborhoods are much better now). Many things did change in the 1980's The end of the Orange Line Elevated, end of the Silverbirds and Bluebirds, end of PCC's on the Green Line, the introduction of the Type 7 car, new cars for the Red, Blue, and Orange Line, as well as new cars and engines for the MBTA Commuter Rail.
