SULPHUR-CRESTED COCKATOO

Large parrot with long, yellow crest and powerful beak. Usually seen in noisy flocks, showing yellow underwing feathers in flight.  Has a loud, raucous screech. Grows to 49 cm. Nests in hollows in eucalypts and lays 2-3 white eggs. Common in northern and eastern Australia and Tasmania.
