MAJOR SAMANTHA CARTER

Why do we like this character?

Because she is a female military astro-physisist, who can kick butt and talk a seemingly alien language called 'techno babble'. She is a genius. She has a soft spot for Colonel O'Niell. She can look after herself. She has saved the Earth and other planets countless times with her fast thinking under pressure. She has fallen for all the best guys. She is a very strong willed woman that cannot be swayed by an enemy. She loves Cassandra. She changes her hairstyle as often as the rest of the female population of Earth. ;) She can use a Goa'uld healing device. She not only followes Colonel O'Niell's orders, but respects them too. She has the coolest dad. She doesn't need use her looks to get what she wants, she uses her brain. She stands by her team mates no matter what. She's no dumb blond.

Best Sam quote: "...Sir..."

Best Sam moment: The episode is Merdian. Daniel lays dying in the infirmary and Sam has come to see him. He is unconcious and she begins to talk to him. She tells him that she wonders why people always wait untill the last moment to let those they care about know how they really feel. Her words are full of passion and real sadness. What is so beautiful about her speach is that the actress Amanda Tapping who plays Samantha, made it up as she went and it came right from her own heart.
