Character Information

COLONEL JACK O'NIELL

Jack is the CO of the SGC's head offworld team SG-1.

Jack has had a troubled past. Deep psycological problems arrose after his son shot himself with one of his very own hand guns. These issues were only begun to be dealt with when he was involved in the first mission to Abydos. Now the SCG is his new family, and he fits in perfectly.

Jack has a very casual and relaxed attituded regarding his superiors and dangerous situations. He is very sarcastic, and sometimes a little too pig headed as he can be stuck in his biased ways. He is very military minded and a formidable soldier. Experienced in almost every kind of battle situation that you could think of, Jack knows his stuff...dispite appearing as dumb as a door-knob every other day of the week. Loyal to his team, Jack is the best man for the job. He would never leave a man behind, and never give in to the enemy.

DOCTOR DANIEL JACKSON

Daniel is SG-1's cultural and linguistical expert, and he is also the only human on earth that speaks a fluent Goa'uld dialect.

Docter Jackson was orphaned at the age of eight. He discovered how to activate the Stargate and travelled to Abydos on the first mission with Jack. This mission resulted in the spectaculer death of the Goa'uld Ra. While the rest of the team returned to Earth, Daniel remained on Abydos and married the native named Sha're. Recalled back to SG-1 a year later, Daniel passionatly devoted his time and energy to finding Sha're after she was taken as Apophis's queen and infested with a Goa'uld. Unfortunatly, a few years later his wife was killed.

Daniel has passionate and strong opinions about the objectives of the Stargate missions and he is not afraid to vioce them. This often leads to conflicts between himself and Jack's narrow mindedness. Still, they remain firm friends. Daniel is the moral concious of SG-1.

MAJOR SAMANTHA CARTER

Sam is a military astro-phyisist and second in command of SG-1

Sam joined SG-1 on the second mission through the Stargate to chase down Apophis. She has been with them ever since. Her father, Jacob Carter, admited to her that he had terminal cancer, however, he was able to be saved with the aid of blending with the Tok'ra named Selmak. He is now the usual contact between the SCG and the Tok'ra. Sam herself briefly became a host for the Tok'ra named Jolinar, who sacrificed her own life so that Sam could live. She gained some of Jolinar's memories and a lessened abilityof that which a Goa'uld bestows on its host, making her able to use technoligy that requires Naquadah in the blood.

Sam is a genius to say the least. Most of what she says flies over the heads of everyone else. She is a determined fighter in all aspects and perfect for position as SG-1's 2nd CO.

TEAL'C

Teal'c is an ex-Jaffa that has joined SG-1 and the SGC to fight against their common enemies.

Teal'c made a bold decision to leave Apophis as First Prime and join the SGC and create a Jaffa rebelion that would leave the Goa'uld writhing. Teal'c had to leave his family behind, for their safty and his, and live another life. The Jaffa that he now has the most contact with is his old mentor and Bra'tac. The one who taught him about the evil deceptions of the "false gods". His association with the Goa'uld has enabled him to contribute greatly to the SGC and the Stargate program. In particular, Daniels research.

He keeps his emotions to himself as he has been taught to do for many years, as part of a warrior people. Teal'c is strong and very capable of handling himself. Well versed in stratiegic matters, Teal'c often joins the side of Jack in conflicting matters. He is very loyal, proud and dedicated.

GENERAL GEORGE HAMMOND

Hammond is the SGC's commanding officer.

General Hammond joined the SGC for the second mission to Abydos. His role as the commanding officer has landed him in quite a few messes that he probably would have preffered to be left out of under different cirumstances. He has a direct connection to the President and Washington DC. No one does anything in the SGC without this mans direct permission.

Hammond has two granddaughters, and his love for family life stretches towards SG-1. He is very leanient towards Jack and he lets him get away with more than most other Generals ever would. He has a firm trust in SG-1 and always gives them the benifit of the doubt. He also knows how to handle a weapon if the need arises.

DOCTOR JANET FRAISER

Janet is the resident medical docter situated in the SGC.

Docter Fraiser has been with the SGC from the begining. Always there to heal the sick and console the worried. She adopted the orphan Cassandra that the Goa'uld Nurrti used to try and desrtoy Earth. Now the child has grown up quite a bit into a healthy 15 year old. Her ex-husband is no longer on the scene and she shows that she is more than capable of living without a man. On occasion Janet has to travel off world to treat injured SGC personel. In medical matters, her orders can override anyones.

Janet is a dedicated Docter that would rather go without sleep for a month than leave a case untreated. She is passionate about what she does; however, Jack would probably just grumble and call her bossy. Janet is a protective and caring person, none better to leave SG-1 in the hands of.
