The new front desk agent at work is doing ok lately.  Manages to pick up concepts well & speed wise isn't too bad in terms of picking things up.  Still sloppy though.  Since my GM wants to put some pressure on this person, I can't take my sweet time in doing a thorough job.  Reason for the push is that the GM wants to get rid of the actress front desk agent as she's cause more liability than benefits to the company.

At the end of the month, there's going to be a bunch of stuff coming in the mail.  They are mostly preorders.  Got the Nendoroid Lucky Star figurines coming & Jingai Makyo Didii as well. 

Speaking of Jingai Makyo, I'm actually have the urge in playing this game in getting to know more about the game.  I manage to get my hands on it & works with AGTH.  It wasn't easy in finding it.  Now I plan to make a special section for this game as there are hardly any sites .  Currently, I'm pushing to get the redesign of the current & undergoing special sections done ASAP.  Welcome to Pia Carrot!! 3 is nearly done in terms of redesigning.  I'm thinking of adding the minor characters as well, but that's going to be more work.  May do those as updates just to get it fresh from time to time.  There are two undergoing projects still in progress & one of time is nearly done as well.  Just to proofread & do some minor stuff on them.  Along with the main site, I hope to get this place up to shape by June or so if time is nice to me.

Final update of the month includes more complete anime reviews.  Got up are CLANNAD (Movie), CLANNAD (TV), & Nineteen 19.  Include is an incomplete article on the difference between the two CLANNAD versions.  Waiting for the after story arc from the TV show.  For the Artbooks & Illustration Books section, more PE up.  Got up there are DigiCube Guide Book Series: Parasite EVE & Magna Carta Tears of Blood: Artbook & Strategy Guide.

My workplace problem with the star front desk agent is continuing.  She's starting to annoy me a bit.  She called me on my last day of my work week to see if I can cover for her shift since she had two auditions to go to.  Personally, she should really focus on one career path at this point.  The entertainment industry isn't a flexible thing.  Schedules are random & are set based on the situation that the script calls for.  Anyways, I told her to call our GM about it since I didn't want wreck my schedule as I'm training a new person.  In the end, I ended up taking the shift since the GM can't do it.  This job is probably going to kill me before I find another.  Currently in progress in training the new front desk agent that took the job last week.  Only did one day, so it isn't much.  Seems to absorb most things, but I don't know if she'll remember them.

Last week during my days off, I managed to get some of my figurines open finally.  I've started making reviews of them already since I took some pics of them.  I wanted to take more for the gallery that I had in mind, but I couldn't.  I was planning to use our new Canon EOS 40D camera but the CF card in it wasn't working.  It's a fake card & I did warn my dad about it.  Worked fine at the start when we got it, but suddenly died.  So ended up using my Sony F828 instead & took limited amounts since it's hard to use without a tripod.  But it turns out that one of the pins inside the camera that takes the CF card is bent.  After taking a long period of time to bend it back, it now works.  May use that camera for the gallery section I was thinking about.  But for the time being, I hope to get the reviews & possible other ones up; complete or brief.

In the mail, I got my Nendoroid Tsuruya-san.  Still got that tissue packaging around the box.  Looks like it came fresh out of the case.  Also got some CD as well.  Still don't know if I should put up a CD collection section on this site.  If I do, it's mostly scans of CD covers, booklets, & bonuses basically.  There's a lot of scanning to do as well.  I'll think about it anyways. 

From J-Hobby (which I haven't been to or brought anything there for awhile), I brought a Mugen PutiPuti Tundere Ver.  Brought it as a stress reliever since that's what made it popular in the first place.  Didn't know what to get at the start since I don't know what most of them sound like.  The maid version I heard since the owner had that one available as a sample.  It's pretty good & the most popular one out of the voiced series.

In anime news, Bandai Entertainment announced this past weekend at New York Comic Con 2008 that they have licensed Gundam 00 & Gurren Lagann which was originally licensed to ADV Films.  ADV Films apparently must have relinquish the licenses when it had that investor problem.  Interestingly, the English dubs will be redo with a new cast lineup.  Now, just need to continue waiting to see who will take Geneon's slack.

Since I'm watching some new anime, I've been trying to get a lot of complete anime reviews up to prevent work overload.  This week, got up complete reviews of Chocotto Sister, Hayate no Gotoku!, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, & Shigofumi: ~Stories of Last Letter~.  For the Artbooks & Illustration Books section, Lucky Star Ryo-Oh Gakuen High School Guide Book & Parasite EVE Official Guidebook are up.

Next week, let's see what I can bring up before the end of the month.

Got that new guest service agent at my workplace.  So, does she like the job?  She says yes, but my GM says otherwise.  He feels that her responses doesn't sounds convincing.  In response, he started looking for other resumes as a backup.  But when she called back to say that she'll take the job for sure, my GM 's response is different.  He's happy.  What a guy!  Because of our acting front desk agent. my schedule is messed up again.  So updates here are slow again than usual.

In the mail this week, got my Fraulen Revotech Rocco figurine with a bunch of CDs that I ordered.  Included in the CD bunch is the Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- Original Soundtrack.  Don't know why I brought it.  I do like the music, but not like crazy.  Probably was an absentminded purchase & music CDs in Japan are expensive.  I may think about adding a new section here that shows my CD collection.  Mainly my Japanese collection consisting of anime & game theme songs & soundtracks.  It's going to be covers & possibly inserts though.  But I still need to redo my special sections & get the new ones up soon. Anyways, about Pocco, I do plan to play with her to see how the articulations are.  Since the diagrams of the E.L.F. system make it look good, I want to see how it really is with the actual figurines.  Once I got free time & get the camera rolling, I'll start playing with it.

Updates for this week are School Days.  In other words, mainly consist of School Days anime reviews.  Complete anime reviews of School Days (TV), School Days OVA Special: Magical Heart Kokoro-chan, & School Days Valentine Day.  Also up is Shakugan no SHANA Second.  Got some more old anime to finish & hope to get the reviews of them up here soon.  For the collectables side, brief review of Toro no ana Palm Characters Rozen Maiden Träumend Trading Figure Set in the Rozen Maiden section is up.  For other minor updates & happenings to my collection, check the right side of this page.

Since I'm still thinking of upping this place, more pics will be coming up here.  Since the era of 56k modems should be dead now, this place will probably be loaded with pics.  More work for me.

Had seven straight days of work this week!  So updates here are a bit slower this week.  Plus, I had two over hours of overtime on one of those days this week.  The new front desk agent was the cause of it when she got accepted for a TV show role from an audition.  Although it's a pilot show, these things really have complex schedules.  Our hotel is seriously understaffed in the front desk department.  We just got a new person coming in, but I don't know if she'll take the job.  She'll be in on Tuesday to see if the job is right for her.

This week, I got some more Kanon DVDs in the mail.  Waited for a long time for them due to the problems that ADV Films had with their investors awhile back.  Next DVDs to come are volume four of Kanon & the limited edition version of Lucky Star volume one.  Coming next month though.

What's not coming from the mail is the PSP game Warriors Orochi from Amazon.ca.  I cancelled it & decided to get it from EB Games instead.  Problem with that was the box was opened since they ran out of sealed copies.  Since I don't really care as long as the game works, I grabbed it.  First impression about the game when I was testing it was that it seems a bit harder for me since I never played the console versions of any warriors based games & am more use to the grid map system.  Plus, the amount of people on the field is a lot.  Couldn't tell which ones were the enemies since the text & life bars are smaller in this game.

Another thing that I picked up when I got Warriors Orochi is another Queen's Blade figurine.  It's the dark colour version of Hired Guard Echidna.  I was interested in getting this figurine before when the original colour version came out.  I had the chance to buy it when it was in my hands at the time, but decided against it due to my "requirements".  I wasn't too keen of the dark colour version & a friend of mine made fun of me about how I had something against dark skinned elves.  Another factor on why I didn't buy this figurine when I really liked it was the fact of the naked butt she had. 

As some new anime shows are starting this month, I need to speed up on my reviews on old anime shows that I had & finish watching.  Up this time are completed review of Kimikiss pure rogue, Minami-Ke Okawari, & Rosario + Vampire.  For the artbook section, I've put up Castlevania 20th Anniversary Deluxe Art Collection & Parasite EVE Dengeki Mook.  Mainly game guidebooks, but it's something.  As for the right site of this home page, I made it as an update announcement area.  It's probably going to be a temp thing, but I don't know yet.  This way, you can skim to see what's new here faster.  I do have in mind of putting my wish list there in terms of what I'm planning to get in the future.  I'll see how this will work out though.  By the way, I got rid of all my Love Hina collection now.  Need more space for more junk.

It's a new month.  Time to file all of March 2008 stuff into the Past News Archives

Last week, I decided to get Crisis Core a day after it was released.  When Amazon.ca sent me an email stating that it would ship in a month or two, I was like "forget that!" & started looking for it somewhere else.  After I got it, I cancelled my order with Amazon.ca.  Played the game & it was kind of fun.  The game is kind of easy like people have said for normal mode.  I went for that mode since I never played Kingdom Hearts before which is what Crisis Core's game system is based on from what I heard.  But great story nevertheless.

Bitching about my work week this week?  Nah.  Although I got headaches from it, I don't want to talk about it unless it's really bad.  Plus, I've been sick this past week for some strange reason. Getting better now though.

Since there's going to be some new anime shows this month, I plan to get some of complete reviews of the anime shows that recently ended up.  Currently finishing up on some old ones as well.  This week, I got up H2O ~Footprints in the Sand~, Gift ~ eternal rainbow ~, & Spice & Wolf.  Also, a PSP review of Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology is also up finally.  There are some more stuff to upload, but I'll save those for next time.

As for the whole website layout, still working & thinking on it.  Thinking of either putting a list of weekly updates on the right side of this page or upcoming collectable stuff that I personally recommend or something.  I knew there is a lot of stuff to do on  making web pages, but I didn't think it would take a lot of work.  Plus, I recently found out that the collectables & anime sections wasn't set up right as subsections & reviews were going into inner frames than whole pages.  I guess that's where my April Fool's joke was at for me.
