This book is a guidebook to the Lucky Star series & is based on the manga version. Since this is a guidebook, it's heavily text based & is of course in Japanese.  The book does have some illustrations in it to enjoy & some rough sketches as well.  The book dos go behind the scenes on how the series is produced in the studio.  As a guidebook, it gives readers an understanding of characters in terms of where they come from, their bio, & their relations with other characters.  There is also, I believe,  a trivia quiz section for readers to test their knowledge about the series.

If you are a fan of Lucky Star & would like to know more about the series of the manga version, this book is a neat guide.  However, you need know to how to read Japanese to get the full enjoyment from the book.  Lovers of the anime version will have to pass on this one as there are some characters in this book that they may not know of.
