Bad Drivers!

If she's a rockin' HEY! Where'd the trailer go???

Loading Big Stuff

Taking that old fridge to the cottage?

How about that dresser drawer as well?

Pretty heavy, eh?

Smaller trailers are great for hauling these things around.

Providing you load it right!

Putting a fridge in the corner will cause an imbalance in the trailer. The front corner will droop down and may tip over. Really!

This may sound a bit obvious, but put the heavy stuff in the middle! And tie it down as well! Nylon ratchet straps are not expensive and can keep the old beer fridge out of the weeds. And try to not put it right at the front if possible. Laying it down is even better. (After you unload it, let it settle for an hour or two before plugging it in.)

Drawers will open in the wind. So wil freezer doors. Tape them shut.

Think about the wind, and what would happen if you had to stop suddenly. Two different things. The wind will push the load back. I've seen a fish hut fly off a trailer because it wasn't tied down at the front.

The same thing goes for pickups as well. Tie it down!

And don't overload!
