Steve Hayes - Webmaster

Here is a list of Web sites related to Christian mission and mission studies. The list of links is periodically updated from a database kept by Steve Hayes E-mail:

The Southern African Missiological Society does not necessarily approve of the contents of the web pages at those sites. The names and descriptions of sites are given as they were entered by the people who submitted the sites to the database.

The list is in two sections. The first section is for specifically missiological links to web sites dealing with mission studies. The second section is for more general mission links.

Missiology blogs

Some blogs (weblogs) that have missiological information. Blogs are personal web sites where the blogger writes a kind of journal, or articles on various topics. The following blogs have some missiological content, or are written by missiologists. Not every posting will necessarily be on missiology, but most blogs have a way of searching for relavant articles using keywords.

  1. Journeys in between - "In Celtic mythology, the in-between places were those places of transition, neither one thing, nor the other. Doorways, shorelines, the forest's edge, dusk and dawn are a few examples. These were the places of power, where the extra-ordinary was possible, and where the bonds of reality and the every-day were shed." Journeys In Between is a journal of my own experiences between different worlds, as an evangelical Christian asking what I can learn from esoteric movements like Wicca, NeoGnosticism, Yoga and Zen - and what spirited wisdom Jesus may have to offer in response.
  2. Missions and theology - A missionary from the Philippines working in Thailand, reflections on mission, mission theology and missiology.
  3. Notes from underground - The main aim of this blog is to interpret the Christian Order in the light of current affairs, philosophy, literature and the arts -- and vice versa. So it's about ideas. Social, political and religious comment. Links, notes on people, places, events, books, movies etc. And mainly a place where I can post half-baked ideas in the hope that other people, or the passing of time, will help me to bake them.
