Song/Sequence
Management Tips <<
However, each of the songs was saved in a different
session. Is there a way to load get all of the
single song/sequences loaded without having to
re-create all of the sequences in a new session? Am
I missing something easy or am I stuck?
>> I
had this same question and got some advice on here
that led me to the answer. Load
one of your songs into the ASR-X. Then save the
sequence as a ''1-SEQUENCE' in a new folder. Then
save each sound as a '1-SOUND' into the same
folder. Do this for each song and sound - one at a
time - into that same folder. You will end up with
one folder with all the sequences and all the
sounds. One
problem which you may or may not have is: you must
have all the RAM sounds saved as the same RAM # as
originally in the song or the sounds will be
misplaced (which you can fix but it's a
pain.) Also,
as you save each sequence and sound you should name
them or number them - or else you'll have a few
'1-SEQUENCE' SEQ0000# and you won't be able to
identify which is which without hearing it
first. Same
with the sounds too. If you have a modified version
of the same sound sharing a folder you'd best
rename it (which the x by default asks you to do
when you first modify the sound
incidentally.) Anyway,
hope that helps and hope it's worth the bother.
Since then I save everything in one session, which
is one long load but everything is accessible for a
live situation. Obviously you need the extra memory
for this... Ksine. |
