Abstract - Most of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) images studies are focusing on the horizontal plane with minimal covered on its height values. This thesis will study about the accuracy assessment in height coordinates using UAV images processing based on orthometric height observation data. In this study, Agisoft PhotoScan v0.9.0 and Global Mapper v15.2.3 are the software used for the processing and analysis. Ground control points and check points were established using levelling method. There are two photogram metric products produced in this study such as orthophoto and digital elevation model (DEM). The analyses of the photogram metric products were performed based on different ground control point of orthometric height levelling data. The results of this study showed that the height accuracy of photogram metric products using UAV images processing based on 10 GCPs produced better accuracy than 5 GCPs. RMSE values of check point height coordinates based on data from leveling method are ± 0.161 meter for 5 GCPs and ± 0.116 meter for 10 GCPs. As conclusion, UAV images can be used to generate DEM that give height coordinate values with sub-meter accuracy.

Main Author from Universiti Malaysia Kelanatan, Malaysia
Abstract - Tobacco has been used since prehistoric time and is known as the native plant of the South America, specifically in Peru and Ecuador (Musk and Klerk, 2003). It has been introduced in Malaysia more than 100 years ago. Bachok district is a Malaysia’s tobacco granary where the productivity and quality of tobacco production in Bachok is greater than other places. Due to the fall in tobacco demand, the tobacco smokehouses are now abandoned without being used by the tobacco producers. Now, Kenaf plant (Hibiscus cannabinus) has become an alternative crop to replace tobacco as the 5,000 tobacco growers in the country were affected by the ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA) enforcement in 2010 (mStar, 2008). The fall of the tobacco industry is also driven by the government controls over tobacco production as the tobacco might give adverse effect to people. The decreasing demand in tobacco has caused many tobacco smokehouses owners to abandon their smokehouses. Buildings that are idle, have become the breeding ground for mosquitoes and unwanted wild animals. This has given a bad outlook to that particular area in Bachok. Therefore, this paper will discuss the possible potential of tobacco smokehouses by applying the adaptive reuse concept, the underpinning concept of conservation projects around the world. The discussion is also made based on the study of the abandoned industrial buildings potentials to transform the smokehouses into reusable buildings.

Abstract -
There are two types of conduit wiring, name as surface wiring and concealed wiring.  Concealed wiring is the most popular due to its beautiful, stronger and common electrical wiring system.  The conventional way of doing the concealed wiring need to do the three steps with the different tools.  The first step is drawing two line using a pencil as a guide in doing the cutting process. The second step use a grinder machine for cutting process and the third step is using stone breaker to make a groove on the wall that will cause the concrete dust flying in the vicinity.  This paper proposed a design of concealed electrical wiring concrete cutter tools for drawing, cutting and drilling process to overcome these problems at a time simultaneously. The laser beam in this machine used as a guide line for the cutting process and several disc cutter used to cut as well as to break the stone.  Furthermore the dust protection used to avoid the dust flying around.  The result shows that the time taken can be shorten in average between 50% to 70% depends on the length of the installation polyvinyl chloride (PVC) conduit of electrical wiring.  This special tools will provide the wiring contractor to do their job efficiently.

Nur Aisah Binti Ab. Moin
Main Author from TATI University College, Malaysia
Abstract - Digital Elevation Model (DEM) plays an important role in a variety of applications including those in hydrology. Hydrologic engineers require these data to generate a number of quantities such as slope, stream network, watershed, etc. This elevation data may come from various sources with different characteristics especially the accuracy. Different levels of accuracy may produce different results, thus this study investigates the extent of potential discrepancies when different sources of DEM are used. Three sources of elevation data are used, i.e. Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR), Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (IFSAR) and Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM). Using functions available in Geographical Information System (GIS), a number of quantities is generated which includes slope, flow direction, catchment and stream network. Comparisons are made by benchmarking IFSAR and SRTM against LiDAR as LiDAR data is known to be the most accurate to date. The findings are quantified, analysed and also passed to the experts for comments. It is found a major difference in slope coverage, where for instance, 20% is of 30° – 60° slope is found in LiDAR whereas only 2% in IFSAR and none in SRTM. The total area of catchment for IFSAR differs by 0.27% while SRTM by 0.35%.  The difference in stream total length is 5% in IFSAR and 12% in SRTM. Based on these results, the experts agree that LiDAR is the best choice while IFSAR data only suits certain applications such as floodplain management and flood forcasting. SRTM data is at lower rank as it is unsuitable for such applications but are acceptable, to a certain extent, to generate the catchments.

Mohd Tamizan Abu Bakar
Main Author from Politeknik Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, Malaysia
Abstract -
Network Defender as an advance security system is another way to be guard for network connection or system. The main thing to strain is the security of the network itself. In this project, as to maintain the security, Honeynet will be used to act as the administrator to protect the network system. In the architecture of the Honeypot, Honeywall CDROM and Sebek will be used as two different tools. Honeywall CDROM is more controlling data. It controls the attacker’s activity by limiting what can happen inbound and outbound. Furthermore, Sebek is major in capturing data. As with data control, it is to capture the entire attacker’s activity without them realizing they are within a Honeynet. With the combination of two tools with advance features, it will give lots of benefits in a way to secure the connection. In addition, this system also can give lots of information of the attackers that try to attack the network and it is depends on how the administrator will handle with it. In this cyber world, even for a small company, security is the most important.

Paper 22/2017 - Application of Cocos Nucifera L and its Efficiency in Production of Biodiesel.
Nur Shuhada Arbaan & Noor Farahin Bain
Main Author from Politeknik Sultan Idris Shah, Malaysia
Abstract -
Transesterification of vegetable oils, which is coconut oil, is carried out by using methanol and potassium hydroxide as catalyst. Methyl ester of vegetable oils or biodiesel have several outstanding advantages among any other renewable and clean engine furl alternatives and can be used in any diesel engine without modification. The most important variables affecting the methylester yield during the transesterification reaction are molar ratio of alcohol to vegetable oil and reaction temperature. All vegetable oils are more viscous, while the methyl esters of vegetable oils are slightly more viscous. Biodiesel has become more attractive because of its environmental benefits. The cost of biodiesel, however is the main obstacle to commercial. With cooking oil as a raw material, viability of a continuous transesterification process and recovery of high quality glycerol as a biodiesel by-product are primary options to be considered to lower the cost of biodiesel. In transesterification the reaction time is 24 hours for settling process. Viscosity of vegetable oils is 43.3 mm2/s get reduced in vegetable oil methyl esters at 4.5mm2/s and B20 is 6.3 mm2/s. A slightly decrease in density from 0.903g/ml to 0.765 g/ml for vegetable oil methyl esters decrease the viscosity from 43.3mm to 4.5mm2/s
