The Curruption
Theme: The overall message preceived from a piece of writing.
The theme for Animal Farm is 'Power Corrupts.'
Old Major warned not to adopted Jones vices, or bad habits.The pigs being the power hungry animals they were didn't listen. They did just about eveything they could to gain the power.
They had to get rid of their main opponent first, who was Snowball. SNowball was a inventor, always making new plans for a better life for the animals. He was a big believer in that all animals are equal. Napoleon, who never seemed to have his own plans, always said Snowball's idea would come to nothing. However Napoleon was only biding his time. Secretly he had a group of dogs awaiting for their signal to attack. During a debate one day Napoleon let out a high-pitched whimper at which the nine dogs entered. They went straight for snowball, chasing him off the farm into exlie. Although Napoleon had one more problem The animals that were loyal to Snowball.
Napoleon quickly found out a solution to that. He used Squealer's ablity to persuaded animals into believeing anything, to tell lies about dear old Snowball. Some animals were still loyal to Snowball even though he was shown as a secret agent for Jones. He was said to be trying to get Jones back. Napoleon needed another plan. This time he used the dogs to kill them. Once the animals confessed that is. THe first to go were four pigs who siad they had been secretly in touch with Snowball. The dogs then tore their throats out. How were they able to do this? All they did was change the rule a little.
THey changed all the rules actually. They slowly changed them however down to one. It all started when the pigs moved into the farmhouse. Which they began to sleep in Jones bed. Sleeping in beds was against the rules. The pigs however added the words 'with sheets.' To say that as a matter of fact they were not backing the rule. They added 'without cause' to 'No animal shall kill another animal'. When they were killing those who confessed that is. THey added the words 'to excess' to the rule about no drinking. This way they could continue to drink that alcohol they found and stuff they made and bought. They changed the first two rules together so it read 'four legs good, two legs better.' This was when they started to walk on their hind legs. Also they just plain broke one rule against wearing clothes, when they wore the green ribbons on their tails every Sunday. All these came down to one still left unchanged until the very end. In which the rule that once read 'All animals are equal' changed to 'All animals are equal but some are more equal than others.' This rule became the only rule after that . that rule was telling the other animals the pigs were now in charge.
They had all the power over the other animals. They're power corrupted a world of everyone equal to them be the almighty. The only difference made to the farm was the master. All the hard working animals were still in a bad position.
