Jennifer is a highly qualified and very experienced postgraduate specialist Behaviour Consultant, having achieved a 1st Class Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Applied Animal Science.

Jennifer has also achieved further postgraduate qualification as a Certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CCAB), having fulfilled the exacting stipulations of experience, expertise, appropriate academic qualifications, professional references and professional insurance required for acceptance onto the Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour (ASAB) Register of CCABs.

Jennifer's degree specifically covers animal behaviour and associated areas that contribute to behaviour such as genetics, biochemistry, physiology, husbandry, animal management and welfare. Jennifer's degree thesis was on the subject of canine aggression and how to best address this frequently encountered problem.

She has been a professional Behaviour Consultant jennifer& servaland Trainer since 1980 and has occupied the position of Behavioural Associate with the Mitcham Veterinary Clinic since 1986.Over this time she has received referrals from many other veterinary practises, helping thousands of owners and pets.

Jennifer's commitment to continuing professional development ensures that she remains up-to-date with new developments in the fields of ethology, behavioural science and training techniques.

Jennifer is acknowledged as an expert witness in animal behaviour by Crown and Magistrates Courts and by the many lawyers (defence and prosecution) who have consulted her for advice and who have instructed her to conduct behavioural assessments for court cases and to give expert evidence in animal-related cases. She has also lectured on this subject to solicitors and Police Dog Handlers at the Metropolitan Police Dog Training Establishment at Keston. Jennifer has advised various Government Consultative Committees on Parliamentary Bills relating to behaviour, training, welfare and safety issues of dogs and dog ownership.

Jennifer's clients include local councils for whom she has conducted assessments and, when necessary, behaviour modification programmes for dogs in homes that have applied for consideration to take on adoptive or foster children. Jennifer has also provided assessment, advice and practical ?hands-on? behavioural modification for rescue organisations including breed rescues, R.S.P.C.A, Dog?s Trust and Cats Protection.

Additionally she has written and judged canine temperament and obedience tests at the request of local authority dog wardens at borough sponsored dog events.

She has also owned and trained falcons for free flying and successfully trained dogs for competition in showing, obedience, lure coursing and agility. Apart from cats, dogs and falcons Jennifer has kept a wide variety of other birds and animals.

She has also backed and trained horses and successfully competed in various equine disciplines with her own Arabian horse including dressage, show jumping, cross country and ridden showing classes.
