TEXAS BETA LAMBDA

ALTRUISTIC PROJECTS & FUNDRAISING
 

Every month, we participate in altruistic projects that fill a need in our community.  Some of these projects are:

• Donations to Habitat for Humanity homes
• Hours donated to service projects and fundraisers
• Preparing and delivering meals to members
• Contributions to local food drives
• Donations of school supplies, refreshments, and other needed items to local schools
• Donations to Stilwell Home for Retired Teachers
• Donations to the city and area school libraries-books and services
• Donations to East Texas Women's Shelter-personal items, clothes, sample sizes of items, toys
• Donations to the Newgate Mission Ministries-donated items from our garage sale
• Donations of toys at Christmas
• Adoption of Salvation Army Angels from the Angel Tree
• Donations to the retired teachers in area nursing homes-flowers, cards, gifts, refreshments, etc.
• Donations to St. Jude's
• Donations to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
• Donations for Spina Bifida project
• Donations to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation
• Donations to Scleroderma Foundation
• Donations to the American Cancer Society
• Donations of time, money, and items for a yearly garage sale
• Donations of items for the yearly Christmas silent auction
• Donations made for Alpha Delta Kappa month in October
