Welcome to My Movie Page
I really love the movies and try to see about 3 - 4 a week. So I am in heaven this time of year (summertime) when so many new films hit the BIG Screen. My usual pattern is to go online and get the show times Friday morning so I can plan my weekend viewing schedule. I am very fortunate as I happen to be in an area of the country (Northern California - Bay Area) where I am surrounded with multiplex theaters.I have two 10 multiplex theaters within 3 miles of me north and south and one 20 multiplex a mere 10 miles from my home. I generally enjoy most films with the exception - I am not partial to gore and those Friday the 13th film genre. I do like good action adventure films ( I especially enjoy the special effects they use). I just split my sides with the comedic films and cry with those sentimental romantic movies. I really enjoy a movie that takes me through an emotional roller coaster ride with having me laugh and cry and get tense - to me that is a well directed and acted film.
I don't really have any particular favorite actors, well except for maybe Tom Hanks, Anthony Hopkins, and Nicholas Cage for male actors. My favorite female actresses today are Kim Basinger and Susan Sarandon. Of course I still love the classics of the days gone by- you know Bogart and Bacall, Bette Davis, Joan Crawford and Jane Russell.
