Thanksgiving with my Honey
Thanksgiving is actually not a holiday in the Philippines, and for the first time in 9 years, Alan was not spending Thanksgiving with his family but instead he was flying home to be with me. I know I have a lot to be thankful for because he dared to take that chance and give it the extra effort to bridge the distance separating us... he actually made it home to be with his babes.  And for that I will always be thankful to him... among so many other things...
Thank you for the inspiration
... the countless smiles you brought to my heart such as when I'd get a surprise call at the most unexpected of times, just when hearing your voice would have made such a big difference.
Thank you for your words of encouragement
... words I keep going back to during those times when I miss you most or when I need to have you there beside me but then we are just too far apart... words I hear in my head from conversations we had... words that remind me how much you mean to me and how you've made me felt so loved and cherished.

Thank you for holding my heart so gently in your hands
... and making me feel such warmth and security like I have not known it to be before.  Because with you I feel I can be the weird and zany me without fear of being judged as crazy, or I can be the childlike and moody me without needing to worry you would find me irritating.  I can shed all my masks with you and I know you would still hold my hand... walk with me, and love me as you always have.
Thank you for the memories you have made with me and those we are yet going to make
... for dreaming the dreams you have spun with me ... for making me feel like I am such a part of your life.  Those tender moments I will always hold dear, such as when you patiently took care of me when I fell ill --- not even complaining that we had to set aside our plans for the day so I could rest... such as when we said our goodbyes when you left, because I did not feel like we were parting, but rather that we finally found each other --- and what we felt in our hearts cannot be anything but real.

I love you, Alan....
