A Bit About Myself

Heya, my name is Kevin, but my friends call me Kev, Kevman or Robokevman. I love watching movies, and my fave genre of film is Sci-Fi. I also enjoy good Action, Martial Arts, Drama, Comedy, Horror, Thriller, Japanese Animation, Fantasy, Children & Western flicks too. I also enjoy asian cinema, it's awesome! Especially the stuff done by John Woo, Jet Li, Jackie Chan & Chow Yun Fat.

My fave movie of all time is Robocop. Others among my top ten movie list are: Mortal Kombat, Romeo Must Die, Saving Private Ryan, The Matrix, The Crow, Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, Hard Boiled, The Killer, Braveheart, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and of course, the Robocop sequels: Robocop 2 and Robocop 3. Here are some other of my fave movies: Jurassic Park, The Star Wars Trilogy, Schindler's List, The Shawshank Redemption, Wayne's World 1 & 2, all three Naked Gun movies, the Die Hard Trilogy, Forrest Gump, Jackie Chan's Police Force, Rumble in the Bronx, Aliens, the Lethal Weapon Trilogy, Demolition Man, Boyz N the Hood, Bullet in the Head, True Lies, Judge Dredd, Falling Down, the Indiana Jones Trilogy, Nemesis, The Lost Boys, Clerks, Mallrats, Predator, The Professional, War Party, Babe, Blind Fury, Screamers, The Hurricane, Unforgiven, Ace Ventura Pet Detective, Speed, Live Wire, Carlito's Way, Virtuosity, Desperado, Heat, Rosewood, Seven, Total Recall, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Surviving the Game, Glory, In the Name of the Father, Crimson Tide, Bloodsport, Casino, Pulp Fiction, Streetfighter II: The Animated Movie, 8Man After, Akira, & Ninja Scroll. There are many other great films that I forgot to mention, but I ONLY have one homepage!

OK, here are my favorite movies of 1996:

The Crow: City of Angels is my favorite film of 1996. It's not as good as the 1st one (no one can match Brandon Lee's superb performance in The Crow), but the makers did a very good job in keeping up with its haunting gothic look, and Vincent Perez did a terrific job playing the ressurrected hero seeking to avenge his own death, and the death of his son. The action sequences were amazing, and the soundtrack is a blast. Mia Kershner plays a grown-up Sarah (the little girl from the first movie) in this film. Awesome soundtrack too.

Supercop is my 2nd fave film of 1996. Jackie Chan, the man who performs his own stunts, has really outdone himself this time. The martial art sequences were simply fantastic, and I found this film more entertaining than his first film of 1996, Rumble in the Bronx. Michelle Khan, Chan's female fighting equivalent is in top-form, showing that her martial art skills are as good as Chan's in the film. Together, they kick ass, literally.

Independence Day rounds out my top 3 films of 1996. The first half of the film was the best, when all the spaceships were entering the earth's atmosphere. Watching the White House and other U.S. buildings being blown to smitherenes was the added bonus, and Will Smith punching an alien in the face was a hoot. Bill Pullman was enjoyable to watch as the president of the United States.

Rumble in the Bronx, The Rock, Eraser, Broken Arrow, Happy Gilmore, The Frighteners, Mission: Impossible, Twister, The Nutty Professor, The Craft, Star Trek: First Contact, and A Time to Kill round out my top 15 list of favorite films of 1996.

I am currently in the process of compiling a Top 15 list of my favorite movies of 1997, 1998, 1999 & 2000. Face/Off, Con Air, & Titanic are part of my 1997 best movies list, and films such as Rush Hour, Blade, The Replacement Killers, City of Angels, Lethal Weapon 4 & Saving Private Ryan are some of 1998's best films. 1999 was the year of The Matrix, most definitely. Other great films of 1999 include The Hurricane, The Green Mile, The Phantom Menace: Episode I, Black Mask, The Mummy, & Payback. For the year 2000, so far there's Romeo Must Die, X-Men, Gladiator, Mission Impossible 2, The Patriot, & Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

The Matrix

Besides watching movies, I like playing Tennis (Graf, Chang & Ivanisevic rule!!!), swimming, rollerblading, collecting coins, groupwork (NOT!!!), video games, going to the casino (Horseracing!!!), collecting CDs, and watching TV. My fave TV shows are The Simpsons (D'OH!!!), ER (Carter, get your butt over here!) and The X-Files (Scully, what are you wearing?) Other TV shows that I like are Friends, The Larry Sanders Show, Homicide: Life on the Street, Law & Order, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien (Conan and Andy: On The Aisle is hilarious!). New shows that I like are Dawson's Creek, Felicity, and Saturday Night Live. Survivor is OK (it's way better than Big Brother), and I enjoy Futurama & the occasional episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel.

I used to spend lots of time on the IRC (Internet Relay Chat). When I used to chat (back in school), my nickname was Robocop, and I was always on the movietalk channel (#movietalk). I sometimes used the nick IndyJones, Chameleon, Nemesis, Reptile, EightMan, or Supercop if some WANNABE / FREAK / CHEAP IMITATION / LOSER was using my nickname. I sometimes do a drive-by on the IRC so you may catch me one of these days.

I enjoy listening to all types of music. I like Techno/Electronica (The Crystal Method, Prodigy, Bran Van 3000, Lords of Acid, Moby), Dance (Eleven Thirty, Haddaway, Ace of Base), House/Goa, (Armand Van Helden, Savastano) Rap/R'N B (Aaliyah, Ice T, House of Pain, N.W.A. Mase), Soft Rock/Pop (Savage Garden, Bryan Adams, Roxette, U2, Natalie Imbruglia, Sarah McLachlan), Country (Shania Twain, Trisha Yearwood), Latin (Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias), Hard Rock/Heavy Metal (Aerosmith, Babylon A.D.), Alternative (Heather Nova, Chumbawamba, God Lives Underwater), New Age (Enya), Industrial (Stabbing Westward, White Zombie, Delirium) and Motion Picture Soundtracks (Instrumental Scores---> Black Rain, The Crow, Crimson Tide, Come See The Paradise, Robocop & Mortal Kombat are awesome!). I also enjoy music performed by Kodo, and classical music.

I finally graduated from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, in Canada. My program of study was Business Administration. The UNIX system that I was using for this homepage (I was using a Concordia server for my webpage) is called Alcor. Telnet into Alcor and see how it bites... BIGTIME!!! It really sucks! Actually, I'm back at Concordia University working on my second degree, in Economics. Don't ask me why I went back... it's probably because I love school so much... NOT!

Past jobs: Maxi & Crap is full of crap. Check out the Wretch of the Month page, you'll see why. Plus, the new management are a bunch of fat cows. Also, RBCrap sucks bigtime, and so does the dragon (my boss) who works there. What a bitch! Now I'm working at mbanx Direct. So far, so good. I'll let you know when the crap talk begins. :)

Well, I guess that's enough info for ya, so enjoy the rest of my homepage!
