Welcome to The Rose Garlands

It is love then that you should strive for. Set your hearts on
spiritual gifts, especially the gift of proclaiming God's message.
The one who speaks God's message speaks to people and gives
them help, encouragement and comfort.
1 Corinthians 13:13; 14:1,3

Let's you and I take a journey together. Clear your mind of
all thoughts, take a deep breath. Be still...ready?

Now look at your hand and picture a petal in it. What color is
your petal? Does your petal have a tiny dewdrop? Or is it a
little frayed at the edges. Perhaps it's tiny, as one out of
a bud? Whatever it is, consider it perfect, your petal is
perfect in your hand, touch it, breathe in its fragrance.
Does it remind you of all things fresh or of crisp mornings,
perhaps spring, or is the petal you hold in your hand one
off an autumn flower?

Funny how one little petal can arouse so many thoughts and
memories when you allow your mind the time to drift. What
are you thinking about I wonder?

I'm thinking about how perfectly created my petal is by God.
Could we ever count all the petals in the world? He can!
Amazing isn't it? He is wondrous. Why do people look for
"magic"? God displays His magical mysteries all the time,
and right now, this moment, magic is in this little petal
that I hold tenderly.

Suddenly I'm thinking of the rainbow, and the rain that
cleansed the earth before it appeared. There I go, random
thoughts from a petal.

Thoughts can be like little petals floating in the cool
breeze. Imagine collecting all those little colored petals
and designing them into hundreds of various perfect flowers
for all the different seasons and climates of the earth. Such
artistry! He does so much to constantly capture my attention,
yet, how often have I just glanced at fields of wild flowers
and not even considered that they are bouquets that He
presents to me, out of His burning and faithful love.

This little petal is now making me fall deeper in love with
God. And you too? I imagine so.

He goes further to gain my attention, for from magnificent
flowers He presents beautifully colored butterflies to enchant
me and yet further still He goes, creating the birds to
serenade me. Every song is a promise of His undying love,
composed specially for me to keep me enraptured. Will His
expressions of love never cease to end?

Wish that I could do more to express my love for Him! Everytime
I tell Him or show Him that I love Him, He deliberately sends
another new love message my way, filling me with the silence
of astonishment. Oh Lord my God, it's no wonder that I should
love you with all my heart, all my might and all my soul.

Now if I could only collect twenty of the most perfect flowers,
I would arrange them into a garland to place at His feet.

Perhaps He would accept my song of praise as a garland? Perhaps
my thoughts of love can be arranged into a garland. Or shall
I weave my words of love into a beautiful rose garland?
